Company Background:
SunGiver is a startup that crowdfunds solar farms for charity. We are like a “kickstarter for solar projects” but specifically for charity. Donors make monetary contributions towards building a community solar farm and profits from the electricity generated by the solar installation are directed towards charities of the donor’s choice. Our goal is to get the public excited about solar energy by involving them in building solar farms and helping out their favorite charities at the same time.

Design Goals:
The goal of this challenge is to design a brand for SunGiver. This includes:
- Logos - consisting of graphical and textual components. The graphical component represents “SunGiver” without any text. The textual component represents “SunGiver” typographically. Variants of the logo should be included for different screen sizes including “icon” or “favicon” size.
- Color scheme - includes a swatch of colors related to the SunGiver brand with recommendation of how they should be used.
- Infographic - a demo of the logo and color scheme used for an infographic depicting how SunGiver works (explained below).
- Documentation - please describe how colors, typography, and logos contribute to the concept and how these brand elements are used.

Branding Guidelines:
- We are looking for a simple, clean, and modern brand that reflects our use of technology (e.g. solar energy) towards social good (i.e. donating to charities) by involving many people (e.g. crowdfunding). We are open to all design styles, but if you are stuck, we suggest modern startup branding styles of Apple, Microsoft, and Google that use simple and minimalistic ideas along with a trend towards flat and abstract design.
Here are some ideas that may be included in the brand:
- Solar energy, solar farm.
- Crowdfunding, working together.
- Donation, non-profit, charity, social giving.
- Green energy, sustainability.

Supporting Documents:
- Style Tile Example (StyleTile.psd.zip).

Design Requirements:
1. Logos:
- Main logo including both graphical and textual components that capture the name “SunGiver”.
- Alternate logo of just graphical component.
- Alternate logo of just textual component.
- Variants of the main and alternate logos for different scales. E.g., desktop website, mobile website/app, icon-sized/favicon, and powerpoint slides.
- Please place the logos on light and dark backgrounds for demonstration.

2. Style Tile:
For this screen, we ask that you put together a one page style tile that clearly shows your concept for this design. Please search in google for “style tile template” to see common examples of this type of screen.
Required style tile content:
A) Color scheme, where you call out color for specific items such as:
- Clickable (non-active) link items.
- Color for active link items.
- Color for specific areas (backgrounds, header backgrounds, etc).
- Color-related scheme / rules.

B) Typography rules, where you call out typography for specific items such as:
- Headers.
- Sub-headers.
- Paragraphs.
- Lists.
- etc.

C) Navbar style (including both active and inactive styles).
D) Data visuals styles (your charts, graphs, etc).

3. Infographic:
- The infographic should convey how SunGiver works:
-- Contribute to crowdfunding a solar farm.
-- Solar farm is built.
-- Profits from the solar farm are donated to charity of the donor’s choice.
The infographic provides a demonstration of the brand and should incorporate the logo and color scheme. It should have two variants: one for desktop and one for mobile devices.

4. Documentation:
- Please describe how colors, typography, and logos contribute to the concept and how these brand elements are used.

Target Audience:
- Donors that wants to make monetary contributions towards building a community solar farm and profits from the electricity generated by the solar installation are directed towards charities of the donor’s choice.

Judging Criteria:
- Quality, cohesiveness, and polish of the brand.
- Overall look-and-feel of logo and color scheme.
- How well does the branding captures SunGiver’s mission.
- How well the guidelines were followed.
