Challenge Summary

Welcome to Web Summit Back Of T-Shirt Design Challenge!

In 4 years, Web Summit has grown from 400 attendees to over 22,000 from more than 110 countries. It’s been called “the best technology conference on the planet”. But we just think it‘s different. And that difference works for our attendees, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to the world’s most exciting startups:
The event is similar to SxSW - very cool, innovative and different.
Attendee’s are a mix of Developers, Entrepreneurs and ‘C’ Level individuals.
The vibe is very chilled, fun and exciting.

Challenge Overview:
In this challenge you are provided with a base design we liked from the previous challenge we ran and we need your help to update it according to requirements below.

Supporting Documents:
- Appirio Logo (appirioLogo_CMYK.eps).
- Topcoder Logo (TC-Logo-NEW-FINAL.zip).
- Appirio Style Guide (AppirioStyleGuide_2015.pdf).
- Design Template (tee-shirt-empty.ai.zip).
- Base Work (Base Work.zip).

Colors & Logos:
- Include Appirio Logo and Topcoder logo.
- Attached all those in the email.

T-Shirt Design Considerations:
- Design must be very simple - and just the back
- Aimed at people who would think ‘that’s cool’ - even a little edgy.
- Remember you are designing for print media - this means no gradients and try to stay away from designs that are too intricate, as they would be hard to reproduce on fabric.

Design Reference or Some Ideas:
- Reference Link 1.
- Reference Link 2.
- Reference Link 3.

T-Shirt Design Requirements:
We want to feed in the bottom right design from (Base Work.) to use as the base for this challenge. We’re just looking for the design for the back of a t-shirt.
- We like the idea of the speech bubble but don’t like the content in it right now so we’re looking to replace that. (or if you really think you can make it look better without the speech bubble, you’re welcome to propose something else - including just no speech bubble!)
- We’d like to see some kind of mash-up of words related to Topcoder, a suggested list could be along the lines of those found at the following heatmap: (you can use as many as you like or none as you see best - in general languages and those in the red section are probably best):
http://tc-heatmap-dev.herokuapp.com/
- You can find a lot of sample word mash-ups to see the kind of lines that we’re imagining at this link - but feel free to innovate around this idea as you see fit.
- The two largest words in the mash-up should be “Topcoder” and “Crowd”

Target Audience:
- Developers, CTO’s and Senior Development.

Judging Criteria:
- Uniqueness and Originality.
- Creativity - The t-shirt should be visually exciting and engaging.
- Quality - The quality of the graphics as well as following the provided guidelines.
