Challenge Summary

Welcome to GE - Time Track Mobile Application Design Concepts Challenge!

The goal of this challenge is to help GE employees and contractors to submit their time cards through mobile devices. Currently they are already doing that from a system called Rally, this system is not mobile friendly. The new mobile web app will pull all info about what tasks the user has been working on for the week from Rally and display them.  The user should then be able to assign hours for each day for each task. After they submit, the info will get pushed back into Rally.

Design Description:
The goal of this challenge is to design the Time Track Mobile app that will help users see their tasks on mobile and assign hours to each task in an easy way.

This application is going to be a web based application that reads from existing application; its NOT going to be a native application. We are looking for a responsive, clean and easy to use mobile application.

We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).

Screen Sizes:
- Mobile Resolution: Design for iPhone 6 Retina Display 750px x 1334px.
Note: Please focus on mobile UI/UX first then iPad.
- Design for iPad Air 2 resolution: 2048 x 1536px at 264dpi (length can extend to fit your designs).
Make sure you create graphic in 'shape' format, so when we resize graphics will still look sharp!

Branding Guidelines:
- Branding Guidelines (GE Branding.zip).

Supporting Documents:
- Current System Screenshots (Rally Screenshots.zip); this is only for reference.

Design Goals:
- The mobile app should be simple and clean to allow for this one task (assign hours for tasks) to be completed as easily as possible.
- The design should be mobile friendly.
- The design should follow GE branding guidelines.
- We are looking for the best UI/UX we can achieve.

Required Screens:
1. Login Page:
- The user needs to sign in to view his tasks page:
-- Username.
-- Password.
-- Login Button.
-- Remember Me Checkbox.
-- Forgot My Password Link.

2. Tasks List:
- Please refer to Rally Screenshots.
- After user logs in he will be able to view the tasks he is working on for the current week.
- What is the best way to view the tasks?
- When user clicks on a task he will be able assign hours for the selected task for each day.

2.1 Submission notification:
- We need a notification here to let the user know that he submitted his time; this might be a popup. Any other ideas?

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance

Target Audience:
- People that work directly for GE.
- Contractors for GE.

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Your design should possible to build as mobile web application.
- The GE Oil & Gas ( “GE O&G”) team utilizes software platform Rally to monitor assigned tasks, as well as progress and time logged doing them.  The objective of this challenge is to design the look and feel for a new mobile responsive application that allows a person to log hours worked completing assigned tasks in an easy, clean and quick way.  This simple—yet key—task that must be done regularly—whereby simplicity and a user-friendly design reign supreme.  This app will help users easily manage more administrative-activities like logging hours—and perhaps increase its functionality over time.
