Welcome to SunShot - Livable Analytics - Icons Design Challenge. In this challenge, we are looking for your icons designs for the provided micro-site storyboards.

We are really excited to see the designs for this challenge!!

Round 1

We would like to review your initial icon designs / logo design (please use the provided template to showcase your logo)!

- Feel free to add any other additional screens which are necessary to explain your concept.
- Notes.jpg: Please note any comments about your design for the Client.
- Make sure all pages have correct flow! Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03).

Round 2

We would like to you to submit the final icon designs and logo with any checkpoint feedback implemented!

The purpose of the challenge is to create icons for the provided micro-site storyboards and also come up with a logo for Livable Analytics project.

About Livable Analytics:
This fast and cost-effective way of collecting and understanding occupant feedback in a building. The Survey Report and Benchmark tool will provide an interactive survey results report for a single building and showing comparisons (benchmarking) to the overall database.Originally developed by the Center for the Built Environment (CBE) at the University of California, Berkeley for research purposes, this resource has become widely adopted by manufacturers, building owners and design professionals to evaluate energy-efficient systems and technologies, and to understand how buildings and workplaces support building occupants in terms of productivity and well-being. It has also been adopted by several building evaluation organizations.

Design Considerations:
- Follow the icon design styles as shown in attached Livable analytics storyboards, please see 
01a-Dashboard (the black icons) - bvut we don't want the icons to be black, you can look to make it interesting by including colors!
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance.
- Please use the provided template to showcase the logo designs

- Show your icons in black and white background.

- In these storyboards - we have used icon placeholders, this is where we need to design the icons!

Logo:
- We need a logo for Livable Analytics.
- This logo will be used in both the provided storyboards
- Please use the attached template to showcase your logo

- In this page, you will find some placeholder icons that need to be designed.
- You have the names of each of the icons that need to be designed, these are required icons in this page:

Assessment:
- In the assessment.jpg, we can see some placeholder icons for the category names
- Category names can be found in the 01a-Dashboard (the black icons)
- We would like to make these black icons more interesting by redesigning them or by including some colors in-addition to black.

Judging Criteria:
- Relevance: Does your logo/icon convey the meaning of the name?
- Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional and clean? Is the composition/layout well done?
- Have you used typography in a meaningful way?

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG image files based on contest submission requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original VECTOR source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or similar and saved as layered AI or EPS file. Your source files must meet these requirements:
1) The AI/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined).
2) The AI/EPS logo file with text in outlined format.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
