Required Screens:
0. Cover Slide:
- YouSaveWithSolar.com Image of Sun Shining through in the background.
1. Our Business Model Slide:
- Everyone Now Knows Rewards Programs-based on “affinity groups.”
- Credit Cards are Now 60% Rewards Based.
- Our team has placed almost 1 million telecom customers using the rewards model.
- Delivering this model through a nationwide solar network.
- More customers at lower acquisition cost.
- Talking Points:
-- You Save With Solar is the first dedicated online directory using affinity rewards to make a market for solar energy.
-- You’ve heard this question a lot: What’s in your wallet? Who here has a credit card that provides points for airlines, hotels, or other affinity groups?
-- Let me ask you another question: what incentives (other than tax) are drawing customers to solar energy?
-- Our team placed a million accounts, and over $500 million in revenue, using rewards offerings, and You Save will do the same in the solar industry.
2. The Problem Slide:
- Solar customers are currently acquired through social media and digital marketing.
- This is a cluttered field- white noise.
- [Google search here]:
-- Could we simulate a Google search example? Someone goes to Internet, types in “how to get solar” in search bar and show what actually appears in a clear way.
- Price of acquisition is high-and going up.
- Providers presented are not even offered in my state.
- Talking Points:
-- Social media is not the best way to acquire customers in a new industry.
-- The current picture in social media is confusion—just more white noise.
3. The Solution Slide:
- Solution: work with affinity groups and develop rewards programs.
- (Show rewards programs and logos here):
-- United Airlines, Delta Airlines, DirectBuy logo on directbuy.com, NorthWest Airlines this is old logo need to google search as company merged with delta. Marriott, Amway, Melaleuca, NextJump, LifeCare, AAA logo at aaa.com, NEA logo at NEA.org, Sears, Kmart.
- Talking points:
-- Potential customers need two things: a trusted source and an incentive that creates action.
4. Our Site Slide:
- The end user experience.
- (Show this scenario. Someone logging onto www.mileageplussolar.com, that then links to our site. Highlight united logo in top right hand corner, Highlight promotional box with mileageplus offer, click on residential solar, populate information on customer form. Highlight box at bottom that asks for mileageplus number.)
5. The Money Flow Slide:
- Customer pays us. We pay Affinity. Affinity pays end user in dollars or rewards.
- By creating a new source of customers for a fledgling industry, installers will pay You Save about $1600 per customer.
- We provide a pool of money, almost $1,000, to the affinity group and they use that money to create an incentive—in cash or unique rewards—to incentivize customers to go solar.
6. A National Network Slide:
- Affinities are nationwide—so we are building a nationwide network of solar installers.
- Solar providers are regional or local.
- Largest installers have joined.
- Many regionals are coming.
- Talking Points:
-- No single installer has a national footprint.
-- To service national customers, you need a national network.
-- We have attracted many of the largest installers—they love the acquisition model.
-- We have interest from more smaller regionals than we can handle.
7. Technology Slide:
- Seamless platform to connect multiple providers, multiple affinities, special offers, and track customers.
- Our platform tracks unique customer offerings with each affinity program and also tracks the customer implementation process with each provider.
- This platform requires us to create a common approach with over 20 installation customers.
8. Team Slide:
- Chad Stockman and David Urman.
- [Logos of major affinity partners].
- My co-founder and myself have been in the affinity marketing business since 1995.
- We’ve presided over 1 million new wireless and Internet customers through affinity programs.
- My focus has been on sales, affinity relationships, and strategic partnerships.
- David is an attorney who understands how to comply with FTC and other consumer regulations.
9. Advisors Slide:
- Can you pull something off linkedin along with google images and make it look good. Should be balanced with two people on each side. Summary, not a lot of text.
- Ken Schwartz:
-- Former CFO of Simplexity, More recently CFO of Sungevity and Sunlink:

- Our advisors are leaders in the solar industry. Ken Schwartz served as CFO of Sungevity, one of the largest installers in the industry. Before that, he worked as President of Simplexity, the company where I was employed for 10 years. Ken understands how to leverage affinity strategies and knows this industry intimately.
10. Financials Slide:
- Please refer to Business Model.png.
- Change numbers in circles to:
-- $.26/Watt flat fee , average system is 6 Kilowatts average, $1560 per install Change copy to flat fee of $.26.
-- $900 payout need to somehow convey and incorporate this is what we are paying our partners.
-- Footnote that additional products like Battery Back-up and Storage revenue are not a part of these numbers.
- Note future LTV is not included in numbers = (LTV) is a prediction of the net profit attributed to the entire future relationship with a customer.
- The financial model is simple. We receive a stipend that will average $1560 per customer.
- We retain about $660.
- We leverage a one-time investment, our web site and our national network, and we therefore have high margins.
11. Impact on the Solar Industry Slide:
- Rewards platforms have generated $1.5 trillion in retail revenue over the past 10 years.
- You Save has the network, the rewards experience, and customers ready to go. We look forward to major impact.
- Talking Points:
-- This company presents an exciting proposition: we are in a new, massive industry, we are utilizing a tool that has literally created over a trillion dollars of customer purchases, and it has not been systematically deployed in the solar industry.
-- Creating great affinity networks creates a beneficial cycle: more customers attract more providers, more providers create better value, and You Save benefits by creating this new channel.
12. Financial Pro Forma Slide:
- See YouSaveWithSolar Financial Draft for DemoDay.xlsx.
- Gross margin per customer is __%.
- EBITDA is ___ after three years.
- New products and services.
- After ____ we are at break even. In three years, annual gross revenue is ___ and gross margins are __.
- This is without accounting for customer LTV-selling energy-economizing products that customers want: battery back-up, ___________ and __________.
