Project Overview
This challenge focus is on designing a stand-alone mobile application for Consultants (or essentially anyone in this scenario) who has just recently attended a customer meeting and is looking to capture their notes, organize themselves and their team around next steps and provide follow-up content to the meeting attendees.
This application will allow the Consultant to improve communication with their customers, improve collaboration with their team (Senior and Junior Consultants) and enable Consultants on the go to capture and share recent information.
We want to improve the digital experience at the conclusion of a customer meeting/interaction where everyone and everything is organized; content is being shared, and the team is very aware of next steps and tasks that need to be accomplished.
Design Problem
In this LUX challenge, we want to focus on the mobile "experience" of planning and organizing customer "next steps". What happens after a meeting is a critical step in any client interaction or sales cycle. Typically "next steps" is handled using email, phone or additional follow-up meetings with your sales team - how can we organize this as a simple mobile experience?
We want to be able to quickly
- Capture meeting notes
- Capture to-do's and next steps
- Capture tasks
- Send automated thank you or marketing emails to your Customer
- Send and share notes with your internal team
- Write private notes
- Create and set reminders
Important experience note: The key aspect of this process is capturing a way that it doesn't feel like the Consultant is just sending out a bunch of tasks to their team. The application needs to feel like a collaboration tool on planning next sales, marketing and communication steps.
The Consultants team is a team of peers in the organization (similar Senior or Junior Consultants) who are working towards the success of the customer. They all might have different roles or goals from the main Consultant and are using this tool to collaborate.
It is very important to be organized around next steps, simple and fluid (extension of the Consultants communication and not just another Admin tool)
Design Consideration
- Consumer grade mobile application
- A great experience for a meeting follow-up "next steps" tool
- Needs to be simple, clean and easy to use
- Collaborative interactions
Application Scenario
- Senior Consultant has many large clients and schedules multiple meetings throughout the day.
- The Consultant attends a meeting with one of their clients
- After the meeting as the Consultant will head to their next meeting, they would like to capture any additional notes (what happened, what's next, who needs to be updated) and maybe send a Thank you to the customer for a great meeting.
- The Consultant can capture this on their "Next Steps" mobile application.
- The Consultants support team can see this content, ToDo's, Tasks, Reminders and anything that might be marked as a priority item
- The Consultants team can grab ToDo's, Tasks and mark them as pending, completed, etc.
- The Consultant is also able to send a note (or private note) to their team or managers and update them on how the meeting went and provide progress reports.

Mobile Storyboards
- Design screens for iPhone 6 (Portrait view, 750x1334px)
- This is a native iOS application
- We only need 7 mobile screens plus the Presentation Screen - so pick/design what you think will "showcase" this experience/your idea.
- In these LUX challenges the "Concepts", you propose are key to the the presentation
Branding Guidelines
- See Branding Attachment for suggested colors
Things to think about (as a user)
- When I first open the application what do I see?
- What is the priority for me?
- I quickly want to get to my recent meeting and capture recent information
- When opening the application, it should be set to the current day/time/meeting so I can fill in my details (the user should not need to search endlessly for something they just attended)
- What are the other navigation items?
- I will need to be able to see my meeting details (either created by myself, other consultants or as a feed from another application)
- What is the flow of "next-steps" is it a wizard experience or template selection?
- Think about the actions that make sense as part of "next-steps."
- Where do I take notes and capture more information
- Record meeting information (video, audio, take a picture)?
- Marking meeting agendas (follow-up, done, solved, failed, etc.)
- Does the mobile application tie into existing file sharing technologies?
- Collaboration tools and interactions
- Notification tools
Screen Requirements
Presentation Screen - 1920x1080 (16:9 Ratio)
- In LUX challenge, this screen is very important so make it look good!
- If you were walking into a meeting and needed to sell your idea - use this screen to showcase your concept.
Additional Screens
- This challenge is focused on creating a great mobile experience
- We are only focused on the "end of meeting + next steps" experience
- Plan the screens you think are important to capture this experience
Target Audience:
- Senior Consultants
Judging Criteria
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually
- How well you simplify, refine and improve the overall experience
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Creativity and simplicity are the keys to success as it must be engaging to users.
