Challenge Summary

Welcome to Multi-Video 3D Stereo Logo Design Challenge! In this challenge, we want your help to create a logo and matching banner that accurately visualizes multi view stereo 3D mapping, satellite imagery, algorithms, and point clouds. Any and/or all of those topics can be included in your design.

This is a fast Logo and Banner challenge. We are looking for a simple, clean, and innovative logo. Show us your best work!


This competition is quick and consists of just one round. You will submit your final designs, and 3 designers will receive awards of $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place, $25 for 3rd.  If there more than 3 that we loved, we will award additional $25 for those. To be eligible for the prizes, you must submit the below items by the challenge end date:
- Final Logo
- Final Banner (to coordinate with logo)
Notes: Any information you want client to notice about your logo

About the Challenge (IMPORTANT! Logo Considerations):
We need a logo that helps convey the importance of technology and research in the areas of multi view stereo 3D mapping, satellite imagery, algorithms, and point clouds. Abstract or literal design ideas are both welcome for consideration. The logo and banner designs must coordinate with each other. Please read the information below for necessary background context on the challenge:

Logo/Banner Requirements:
We would like the logo to be professional and conservative (yet still innovative/creative)
Font (if used) is open to the designers, DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files.
Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.
The logo should grasp the message of the logo design
You need make sure your logo looks okay above light or dark background by submitting them in white and black backgrounds.

Required Logos/Banners:
We would like to have a few versions of logo designs.

1. Logo/Icon:
Create an icon or logo that relates to the concept
Create a black and white version as well a color version of this icon

2. Logo with Logotype (not required, but for additional bonus points to overall score)
Create a version of your logo and pair it with the name of the challenge – “Multi View Stereo 3D Mapping Challenge” or a clever variation of that same name (example: MVS3DM Challenge)
Please make sure to see the Logo considerations above.
Submit one version of AI/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined) and another version of AI/EPS logo file with text in outlined format.

3. Banner
Create a banner image that coordinates with the logo (this will be used in our challenge communications materials such as website, forums, press releases, etc.) Note: please provide this image in 1920 x 768 px for a website banner.

Judging Criteria
Relevance: Does your logo effectively convey the challenge message/meaning?
Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional, and clean?
Creativity/Uniqueness: Is your logo an original design that reflects creativity and innovation?
If using typography, is it used in a meaningful way?
Completeness: Did you submit both a logo and a coordinating banner?
The extra mile: Did you submit a Logo with LogoType?

Submission and Source Files
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG image files based on contest submission requirements stated above

Source Files
All original VECTOR source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or similar and saved as layered AI or EPS file. Your source files must meet these requirements:
1) The AI/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined).
2) The AI/EPS logo file with text in outlined format.

Final fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

SUBMISSION FORMAT:

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
