Challenge Summary

Welcome to Health View Landing Page/ Dashboard Design Concepts Challenge. In this challenge, we will be working with an existing design to enhance/ explore a new dashboard/ landing page user experience for reading and interacting with medical data.

eMERGE is an electronic medical record dataset with 600 or so patients. We'd like the landing page to provide a "high level", infographic style description of the key features of the data.

We need you to pull it all together and create something amazing! Have fun!

Design Guidelines:
- We are looking for your best modern, clean, engaging and innovative dashboard concepts.
Please use the following mood board for your design inspiration and direction. We’ve included a design direction document with screen requirements and wireframes for you to base your design off of. Remember...don’t just color in the wireframes. Look at the provided examples and expand off of the provided wireframes. We’re looking for clean modern design!
- Also, please take a look at the provided design guidelines to see how to color palette can be utilized effectively.

Screen Resolution:
- This is a desktop application, so please plan your designs accordingly!
- Desktop: 1280px wide (height can expand with content)

Use-case Scenario:
A top healthcare administrator (who is also a doctor) at a large Healthcare system wants a quick summary of the patients, their ailments/diseases and meds they are on. She would also like a quick summary of the top 5 or so risk factors for each disease of her choosing. She does not have a strong background in statistics but she is ok with rates, confidence intervals, and charts.

- After coming to a simple landing page, she is able to select the data source that she wants to browse.
- After selecting a data source she is brought to a landing page dashboard that is rich in top level metrics and information about the chosen data set.
- This dashboard is interactive and she is able to click into the infographics to get additional information and detailed breakouts of the data set.

Required Screen:
We need below screens to be designed..

1) Home (Landing) Page:
This should be the initial landing page once a user has logged on to the Health View application.
- This is a simple graphic page that introduces the user to the Health View application and presents them with a single UI element from which they can select the data set that they wish to view.
- Looking for this page to be highly visual with a possible background image that relates to the Health View site medical theme.
- Please reference the left hand column of the provided screenshot of the existing design.

2) Selected Data Dashboard/ Landing Page:
After selecting a data source to browse, the user is taken to the Data Landing page/ dashboard.
- Here the user is presented with high level infographics that give the user a better understanding of the data set.
- On this interactive dashboard, a user can click into the data to get a more detailed breakdown of the infographic or detail view of a particular segment of the data.
- Here is a list of components that you should include in your landing page dashboard designs. Be sure to explore ways to filter, and manipulate the data views.

Population Characteristics:
a. Number of people in the dataset and by:
i. gender
ii. race
iii. age groups
iv. smoking status

b. Rank order of outcomes
c. Distribution of medications

a. For each outcome, click and see:
i. % of people with the outcome
ii. top 5 risk factors associated with the outcome
iii. Medications patients are on for that outcome

3) Selected Data Dashboard/ Landing Page:
- A user is able to click into any aspect of the data to get a deeper understanding of the metrics.
- Please show an instance of an expanded breakdown of one of the population characteristics.
