Background Overview
Andela recruits brilliant young people across Africa and trains them to become world class developers over the course of 4 years. The training program is commonly referred to as a Fellowship, and the trainees as Fellows. "Skilltree" is Andela's custom-built Fellow Tracking System.
Challenge Goals
Skilltree is intended to be an intuitive and powerful way to visualize the skill level and skill uptake of individuals across a variety of metrics. We would like to redesign Skilltree apps to be scalable to display data about thousands of individuals while having specialized dashboards tailored to roles within our organization.
Main Features
- Fellow dashboard
- Amin dashboard
- Fellow profile
Design Considerations
- Dashboards should scale to display information about over 50,000 individuals.
- Designs need to be simple, clean and easy to use.
- When designing the "Fellow Profile" consider how easy it would be to add more information to it in the future (e.g. badges, certifications, goals, learning plans).
- Do not need to worry about how the data is entered (e.g. skill assessment scores) and focus only on the dashboards.
- If you identify any other pages that need to be created to drive your point, feel free to add them.
Branding Guidelines
- Designs MUST adhere to the Andela Color Palette
- Designs MUST follow the Material Design principles
- UX must be consistent across all screens
- We are targeting desktop browsers for this challenge, but think about to make sure your designs can work in a responsive environment.
- Create it for Desktop : 1024px width with height adjusting accordingly
