Welcome to the Career Mobility App - Matching Job Seeker to Hiring Manager Algorithm Idea Generation Contest. As part of this contest you need to propose an open source algorithm to match potential candidates for open positions.
This is an Idea Generation contest. You only need to propose existing open source algorithms and submit a Word document detailing your suggestions. You do not have to submit code for this contest.
Project Overview
Our client is creating a mobile app that seeks to suggest relevant open positions to job seekers and prospective candidates are in turn suggested to hiring managers. Each of them can view additional information about the open positions and the suitable candidates. In addition to this, the candidates and hiring managers can also message each other directly.
Contest Details
As part of this contest, we would like you to come up with an algorithm that can:

Suggest suitable candidates for open positions to Hiring Managers
You need to only make use of any open source algorithms - one whose pseudocode is available for implementation. You need to clearly mention the data structure of the input that the algorithm will work on and the format of the suggestions that the algorithm comes up with. You are advised to also specify the performance capabilities of the algorithm. You are encouraged to propose multiple algorithms but in the process, kindly ensure that you do not compromise verbosity over quantity - explain each algorithm in detail and leave no stone unturned in describing how the algorithm works and how effectively it meets our client’s requirements. You can certainly suggest existing libraries, but they would need to be licensed so that our client can use them. We're open to any of the common open source licenses that require no more than our client to cite the author.
To help you understand the application further, we will provide wireframes that describe the different screens that the application will have. These are for demonstration purposes only and should not be considered the final designs.
We will share with you two excel files - one describing the type of data that will be associated with the potential candidates and the other describing the type of data that will be associated with the open position.
Final Submission Guidelines
Write your suggestions in a Word Document and upload them through the Submit and Review tool for this contest. No video necessary. Pseudo Code is required. Actual implementation is not necessary.
