Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Sales Dash iPad App Design challenge.

For this challenge, we have the opportunity to demonstrate the power of our design community to a very large enterprise customer. They are currently using large agencies for design work, which are slow and focused on print design. We want to WOW them with the advantages of speed and usability that our GUI design community offers, over agencies.

This challenge focuses on three (3) storyboards for a new iPad app, which will enable sales reps to quickly find and digest data related to their customers.

Design Considerations:
In general, these sketches were made by non-designers, so we are looking to you for a great design with good usability for iPad and good use of space. Please do not just skin the provided sketches, but rather think about what is the best way for the user to view the related data.

Users are sales reps, who need to get real time data. The interface should be simple and very easy to read / digest quickly.

DIMENSIONS:
Your storyboards should be 2048 px by 1536 px (landscape orientation) at 72 DPI (RBG mode).
Need NOT show the iPad surrounding the screens.

TYPOGRAPHY
The customer prefers :
Helvetica font (light weight for most use cases, regular weight if needed to show importance but no bold text please)
Text in shades of gray (from #222 to #777) unless showing status (in which case, green/yellow/red can be used)

COLORS
For anywhere that we need something to stand out (example: data table pick list triggers / etc highlight as needed) you may use this color:
Gold / Yellow = #ad7c15

For showing status, use these colors:
Gold / Yellow = #ad7c15
Green = #4a6554
Red = #cb2930

IMAGERY
The customer prefers :
a white background
simple icons that live in circles (white background, dark gray icon and circle outline)
thin lines (1 or 2 pixels) and a good deal of white space around text & elements
No banners or other distractions, please.
Stock art is NOT allowed.

Required Screen Details:
For all screens, please show:
a logo placeholder (we will swap this in after the challenge end)
a menu icon

Note: Do NOT show what the menu looks like, as we do not know the menu items. Just show how to access it!

1) Dashboard | See screen #1 in PDF:
The home screen will contain six (6) data charts. Charts will be colored to show status.

Note: when the user taps on one of the charts, he will see some sort of secondary option to access other screens. Please show that the user has taped on the second chart (heavy trade programs) and now sees options to access three secondary screens (see screen #2 in PDF)

2) SAP | See screen #3 in PDF:
This screen shows the distribution info for each of the sales reps. There are a large number of sales reps, and each may have 100 accounts, so please
- add a search box where user can start typing a sales reps name to change  the data table (rather than pick list shown in PDF)
- show a large number of accounts in the data table (scrolls off screen)

Note: this screen must have a “back” option, as it is a screen found through drilling into the dashboard reports

3) SAP Report | See screen #4 in PDF:
This screen shows a very large data table (screenshots of desktop application). Since this is going to be a native iPad app, please rethink how data is displayed so that it will comfortably fit on the screen - for example, maybe user can tap on a header to collapse / expand it?

Note: Each header label has a button / option to trigger a related picklist (changing sort order of data) and the option must be large enough for the user to tap with their finger, but should NOT cover the label (as it does in the example SAP report screen).

No back button needed on this screen.

Please use these column headers for the report screen (same as in PDF but listed here as some are covered up in the PDF screenshot):

INDY CHAIN

YTD TREND
