Challenge Summary

Welcome to TeenShare - Mobile App Design Concepts Challenge!

In this challenge we are looking for your best mobile UI concepts to design a mobile app that will be used by teens to loan, trade, or sell the items they own and don’t need anymore--and to buy, borrow, or trade for items other teens no longer want or need. Payment processing capabilities will not be included in the initial design/development of the app, but may be added later.

The target audience is key--the app should appeal to teenage users in terms of both visual appeal and usability. Simple swipe behavior is preferable to clicking through a menu. Location is also important, as it needs to be easy for users to browse items posted by users within their geographical area.

The aim is to build a fully functional app that will allow teenagers to share (and barter / sell) their un-used stuff. Imagine a mix of eBay and a second-hand shop (more than clothing) with an interface similar to Tinder.

We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).

- App logo.
- Username.
- Password.
- The ability to login using Facebook, Twitter or Google.
- Forgot password link.

- This is the main screen users will get when they log in.
- This screen list all items for sale.
- We will use location-based searching by default. The default location is users current location and the user can set a different location if desired. We will use a default radius to search items, and allow users to modify it or we increase radius as user keep browsing items.
- We can give an option to search/filter the feed for specific distance, category, gender, and sizes in item descriptions, usernames, or location.
- And filtering for search results.
- Availability to tag.

05 Item Details:
- This is where an item’s details will be viewed. It will display:

06 App invites:
- Ability to invite friends to the app via:
-- Whatsapp.
-- Facebook.

- This will use the built-in OS sharing feature, so basically you are designing a single screen, the details screen that showing user what (s)he is sharing will be handled externally.

07 Notifications:
- This is for push notifications.

- Keep it simple. If we can do a look and feel that hits home with with teenagers, that’s great.
- We are looking for an interface similar to tinder:
-- Tinder is important inspiration for its ease of use, the swipe left or right function (rather this than Wallapop gallery overview and how you can "waste time" just browsing through it and like or not like.

Design Considerations:
- Your design needs to be responsive; please consider that while designing the pages.
- Your design need to be simple and easy to understand as the user will be teenagers.
- The application needs to be very easy to use and self evident in navigation.
- Focus on the user experience of each page and make sure each page has a complete flow.
- Give importance to the overall layout and think about how a user would interact with the content on the page.
- Show all the screens and provide a user flow/click-path, so we can see how the interactions fit together in the application.

Screen Requirements:
- Target iPhone 6: 750px by 1334px (Portrait orientation).
- Height can expand if needed, but scrolling should be minimal and avoided if possible.
