Challenge Description:
We have an existing project management application with an already established UI design and style that we need to maintain. We are looking for your help in designing out some new pieces of a specific tab (section) within the application. We are also looking for your UX and UI concepts on how to make the experience better in a few specific and key areas, which are outlined below. You MUST maintain the current design language, branding, UI designs and general look of the application. We are NOT looking for a redesign or for you to reinterpret the current designs; just build upon and add to them.

Required Screens & Designs:
01 Project Forecasting Tabs
(This is where we are looking for your UX and UI concepts)
- Design a better way to handle the different views/ tabs (Forecast Comments, WBSE Attributes, WBS Totals, WBSE Margin, etc.)
- These items function as “on/ off” tabs/ views. When the user selects these they turn that view “on” and it highlights in green. They click it again to turn it “off”. When turning the item on it reveals and displays additional columns and content in the table below.
- We are looking for your ideas on how better to design these items so they don’t take up as much screen space.
- Some of our thoughts/ solutions are:
-- A dropdown list that displays all of the views and has an indicator or which ones are turned off and on...sort of like a view settings user interface. Possibly on  and off toggles to turn on certain “view” criteria.
-- A “button” or “Icon” that on hover would display a flyout panel that has all of the views listed with their on/ off status. Quick access and minimal clicks. This might be a good way to minimize/ maximize this UI element and save screen real estate for when this menu/ navigation is not needed.
-- Your concepts and ideas that might be different than the possible solutions we listed above.
- Whatever the proposed solution and concept is it MUST be simple, refined, easy to use, minimal clicks/ minimal steps, quick access, fit the current style and “look” of the application. This is all very important.

02 New Project Forecasting Tabs
(Executional. We are not looking for new concepts)
- We need to add in 6 new tabs/ views in the area we removed the tabs in 01 Project Forecasting Tabs.
- The new tabs/ views should be:
-- Forecast (default view)
-- At-Risk
-- Book to Bill
-- Dashboard Pivot
-- Dashboard Table
-- WBS Pivot
- At-Risk and Book to Bill will need to have some sub-functions JUST associated with those individual tabs. On selection of those tabs, it might be nice to have the tabs box expand to include icons for those sub functions (pushing the other tabs to the side), or have the additional functions work on hover? We are also open to your other UI ideas.
- The sub-functions for At-Risk are:
-- Entry Form (opens a popup/ screen overlay entry form. 03 At-Risk Entry Form)
-- Forecast Sync (can be an icon)
- The sub-functions for Book to Bill are:
-- Import B2B Records (allows user to select excel doc to import into the table)
-- Reset (resets the table data)

03 At-Risk Entry Form Overlay
(Redesign of existing form to match the current UI and design style of the application)
- Use the supplied screenshots as the source for the content
- Functionally the form should work the same and include the same fields and data
- We are just need you to update the form to match the current UI and designs
- We need form states for: Book to Bill, New Business Judgement, and Backlog Judgement

04 Secondary Functionality Buttons/ Icons
(additional features/ functionality that’s specific to the entire main Project Forecasting tab)
- There are few key buttons/ functionality that need to be always present  on the Project Forecasting tab
- The items should include:
-- Forecast Comments/ Override Sync
-- At-Risk Forecast Sync
-- Add New Entry
-- Edit Entry
-- Delete Entry
-- Snapshot (Dropdown or something where user can select a Snapshot from a list)
---- User also needs the ability to have a Snapshot Settings where they can select the frequency of how often snapshots are taken.
---- Ability to Manually Take Snapshot. Could just be a “Take Snapshot” icon/ button

05 Admin Updates
The admin searches for a user, then displays rows of available functions. The admin can toggle on/off what functions they want to make available for that user.
- Add a new section on the left side called: “User Function Permissions”
- Change the current "User Permissions" to "User Project Permissions"

Input Documents:
- Source PSDs: Use these files to pull basic UI elements from
- Source Screens: Use these screens as the starting point for your designs. It’s probably easier/ faster to just design on top of these. (Project Forecasting Tab and Admin Screens)
- Visual Notes: highlights and notes on the specific areas of the existing app that we are updating, changing and/ or adding too.
- At-Risk Entry Forms: Example/ current entry forms. Just redesign these to match the current UI and existing designs.
- Current Build: Use this as background and additional understanding of how everything is working. Just enter User Identifier: admin (all lowercase) to login (no need for email or name)

Judging Criteria:
- Concepts and ideas presented
- Overall UI design and layouts
- How well the UX follows modern flows and current best practices
- Implementation and execution of designs
- How well your designs match the current designs, UI, and application
