Design Problem
Create the visual design for an iPhone and Tablet application that will allow a user to scan a barcode from a beverage and view the nutritional information about that beverage. The nutritional information will highlight the sugar content of that beverage and suggest a healthier alternative drink from BritBev. We also want to consider and explore gamification, consumer loyalty, and incentive methods to entice a user/consumer to consider our customer's beverage products.

We want to help educate and raise awareness about sugar consumption when users are consuming different beverages, help create healthy lifestyles (though knowledge) and at the same time engage and increase future customers to understand and consider our products.

Design Consideration
- Think about designing an application that provides a user insight into their daily sugar consumption.
- A great experience for a user to check their beverage nutritional value and to explore BritBev products.

Some example features to think about
- The best way to capture beverage image (barcode scanning / manual code entry / take beverage photos / etc?)
- Product Detail Information
- Sugar consumption vs Healthy information/chart/infographic
- Product Replacement offers (show BritBev products)
- Comparison nutritional chart
- Gamification and Consumer loyalty

Application Scenarios
- BritBev is a large UK based manufacturer and distributor of Beverages
- They want to create an application that provides a user insight into their daily sugar consumption
- Scan the barcode or look up a product
- Show the sugar level as both total grams AND perhaps some sort of graphic visualization
- Let the user register and include personal data (age, gender, weight) and see the recommendations for their age, weight, and gender
- Offer up alternatives with lower sugar content but only from the BritBev range of products
- Allow registered users to collect loyalty points for purchases of any BritBev product
- Provide higher points for lower sugar products
- Gamification, Consumer loyalty, Engagement, etc.
- What makes sense? What would be helpful to you? What else can you think of that may be a cool feature for this application?

Open to Designers!!

Key Feature
Our audience thinks that "consumer education/ product awareness" should be a key feature of the application.

~
Storyboards (iPhone and iPad)
- Design all screens for iPhone (Portrait view, 750x1334px) and several screens for iPad  (Portrait view, 1536x2048px)
- This would be a native iOS application
- We only need 7 screens plus a presentation screen - so pick/design what you think will "showcase" this application and your concept!
- In these LUX challenges the "Concepts", you propose is key to the overall presentation!

Things to think about (as a user)
- When I first open the application what should I see? Why am I using this application?
- Think about how to best educate our consumer
- What is the priority actions or items I need to interact with
- What type of items would I see each time I open the application?
- What are the navigation items (primary and secondary)?
- Notification, alerts and push tools?
- Is there a community aspect to this to aid in consumer awareness?

Suggested Screens
- These as suggestions - you can modify as needed
.
0) Application Logo

- Perhaps recent scans by the user
- Featured BritBev Products
- Summary of user activity related to the apps, such as total sugar consumption (today/week/month)? list of products that user consumed in a period of time? Recent products captured?

- The user will be presented with great graphic and detailed information about the beverage. (Check static data documentation for sample product content).
- Details should contain a picture of the item, size, total sugar, and evaluation based daily recommended allowances
- If the beverage product is a Britbev product the user could receive loyalty points (how might this work?)
- If the beverage is not a Britbev product the user will be provided with possible suggested alternatives that are Britbev products.

- This is a comparison evaluation screen. The user is able to compare beverages with Britbev products (this should be easy to use!)
