Challenge Summary

Welcome to IBM Castle - Challenge Navigation Exploration Challenge
This challenge is part of the IBM Castle Challenge Series. Competitors who win challenges in this series will compete in a leaderboard of points for additional prizes.

In this challenge we want to further explore how sub-menus are opened throughout the app. In the existing Castle application, filtering and folders (now tags) are triggered icons that open up menus to the left of the inbox. We want to see how this treatment will work within our new design.

Important: This is FAST Challenge with 12hr Rolling Checkpoint deadline and another 12hr for Final Deadline. Jump in now for any questions

Rolling Checkpoint Requirements
- Submit all screens for checkpoint
- All scenarios that will show off sub-navigation menus
- Provide us with a click map for your design, with annotations for all interactions.
- Make sure all pages have correct flow. Please number your files (00, 01, 02, 03).
- Readme.jpg: If needed, provide notes about your submission

Final Submission Requirements

- All scenarios that will show off sub-navigation menus

Design Needs:
- We’ve updated the mail tab to show how we would like to apply this to the other sections of the Castle application.
--- Specifically, we’re removing the hamburger menu on the top menu. The submenu will now be accessed in each category, Mail, Calendar, Chat, Contacts.
- We need to explore how this will work on Calendar, Chat and Contacts.
--- How will submenu content be accessed?
--- What triggers the submenu?
--- What types of icons are used?
--- How many different categories do we need?
--- Do all categories (mail, calendar, contact, chat) need to be treated the same?
- Overall, we are looking for consistency and a proof of concept of how this treatment could work throughout the Castle application. If something doesn’t make sense, feel free to change it!

We will provide PSDs for all sections. In addition to the design tasks, you will also need to perform some cleanup in the PSDs for consistency.

Email
-- We have a demo of how the menu will work: https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/6773YXCQ3#/screens/154166086
-- You do not need to design anything for mail, but make changes if necessary.
-- Use the email PSD as your base to build out the other sections from.

Calendar
- PSD provided. Update to show us how this section will function without the hamburger menu to open the subnav!

Chat
- PSD provided. Update to show us how this section will function without the hamburger menu to open the subnav!

Contact
- Note: Contacts V2 challenge is still in progress and we can only provide edited screenshots at this time so that we protect that designer’s submission. Focus on the navigational changes!
