Greetings! We've recently gotten a lot of interest from our clients in doing Sharepoint development. In order to make this a better fit with the crowd, we recently completed a challenge to build a "1-Click" install for setting up a Sharepoint 2013 environment. This will allow you to setup your test environment with minimum hassle.
Challenge Goal
In this challenge, we're asking you to create a simple Sharepoint add-in that can be installed in Sharepoint 2013. Your application must demonstrate the use of custom HTML and CSS and interact with the data on the Sharepoint site. Please choose one of the following concepts to implement:
- Create an add-in that provides a simple shared todo list with checkboxes
- Create an add-in that displays information about the number of documents loaded into Sharepoint (names and file sizes).
- Create an add-in that displays the titles of the current top articles on the Yahoo news site (e.g. list of article titles with links to the external site).
Additional Details
This challenge is serving two purposes - to get a wider test of the 1-Click install process and to start to build community participation in Sharepoint projects.
