Welcome to Living Progress - OER Commons - iOS Mobile App Wireframe Challenge!
There are tens of thousands of high-quality open education resources available via the Internet yet for the hundreds of millions of mobile equipped would-be teachers and learners the discovery and adaption of those resources lack mobile optimized services. This project will create iOS and Android mobile apps to enable millions of educators and learners discover, remix, and share open teaching and learning content on demand with their classrooms, study partners, and social networks. This will enable educators and others to curate high-quality content by drawing from the digital public library, OER Commons, and its expertly curated collections of content that is not only free, but legally open to remix and distribute in any learning and social network.

Challenge Description:
The goal of this challenge is to create iOS and Android apps that extend and build on the open educational resources discovery, authoring and sharing functionality of the existing OERCommons.org service. In this challenge we will focus on iOS.
The added value of this solution:
- Simplifies access and mobilizes the digital library for educators.
- Supports just in time and on the go discovery and exploration of learning opportunities.
We are looking for wireframe (Axure) solutions based on requirements below. We’re also looking to the community to come up with interesting ideas for the workflow - we’re absolutely open to creative solutions!
At the end of this wireframe challenge, we are looking to have a complete solution for the user experience and flow.
Wireframe Expectations:
- Produce HTML click through wireframes that can be used to demonstrate all mentioned functionalities as required in each round.
- The website must be very easy to use and intuitive. Keep that in mind when designing your solution.
- You MUST cover all screens mentioned in required sections below, if any requirement is missing in final submission the client will not look at it, so make a checklist for the required screens to make sure you designed all of them.
- Please show us your proposal as a movie or series of wireframes that communicate the user’s intended interaction with your proposed solution.
- You MUST use wireframes note pane in every single page you design to explain what items are addressed in that page from the documentation, what things you added/changed/removed, use it to make your idea clearer and help the client to give you constructive feedback.
Notes:
- This is going to be both iOS and Android app, but in this challenge we will only focus on iOS app.
- Your wireframe submissions need to be able to drill down for all page flow.
- Show your wireframe solution for:
-- Mobile view (Mobile Resolution: Design for iPhone 6S Display 750px x 1334px).
- Feel free to suggest any tools/functions that can bring good User Experience for this tool.
User Stories:
- Students and learners of all kinds, educators, teachers, librarians, parents, homeschoolers.
-- Students and learners will use the apps to search for and discover free and accessible education resources about the subjects they want to learn about, and share them broadly among their social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. All user roles should be able to share.
-- Educators, teachers, librarians will use the apps to discover and curate learning resources they can then share with students. They can also use the apps to author and remix educational resources and contribute them to the wider educational commons.
-- Parents and homeschoolers, and other informal educators will use the apps to learn about educational resources that have been evaluated and curated by experts and provide quality learning experiences for the students and learners they are supporting.

05 View Resources Page:
- View resource (we have different resource types, each may require a separate page)
- For this challenge provide us with a template on how would view resource page would like like.
- For each resource there is a corresponding "Resource Page" which displays all of the metadata, including reviews, evaluations, and standards alignments with a particular resource. From that page, users access the "actual" resource. Here is an example:

06 List of Saved Resources (favorites folder) Page:
- We need a view where the user can see his saved list of resources.
- Some of those saved resources would be displayed in the Dashboard.

Wireframes should be built in Axure. The resulting files should have generated HTML files. Also, all the content must be listed and the pages are linked together to show page flow.
Final Fixes
As part of the Final Fix phase, you may be asked to remove, update, or change some features of the wireframe.
