Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "On Wheels – Experience App Idea Generation Challenge!"

The goal for this challenge is to explore and define new ideas and concepts. On Wheels is an innovative mobile app (iOS and Android) that redefines urban accessibility for wheelchair users. The goal of On Wheels is to “create the ultimate accessibility guide for all people in wheelchairs by providing a better mobility experience”. We are gathering ideas on new features to potentially add along with how to improve the overall experience of the current app. Please feel free to get creative! How can we make the On Wheels app the ideal tool to choose, plan, experience and share places accessible for wheelchair users? We’d also like to explore possibilities to connect Wheelchair users with key actors of the industry to allow the app to become the ideal companion delivering an end-2-end experience (e.g. airports, public/private transport, restaurants,,...). Your ideas shouldn’t based on one location but should be generic enough to apply to the whole world.  We’re looking for your creative new ideas and concepts!

Important Rule for all Ideation Challenges:
- You are allowed to submit your ideas at any time during this challenge.
- You are allowed to submit to the final phase even if you did not submit to the checkpoint phase.
- All ideation submissions will be accepted (that pass screening).
- While we are allowing this challenge to be "open", we do recommend you submit to the checkpoint so we can review and provide valuable feedback. Good luck!

Round 1

Round One - submit your completed idea, including:
Summary Paragraph, Idea Description, User Stories and Visual Supplementary Material

Round 2

Round Two - Submit your completed idea including any changes made based on any feedback from the client (if applicable).
Imagine you are head of your city government, what innovative and useful services would you put in the app?
Imagine you are a wheelchair user, what could be included to make your life better?
Imagine you are an industry service provider or business owner, how could you integrate your services in the app?

An example user story would be as follows:
Kris, a person in a wheelchair, would like to plan a trip to Rome.
- He opens the OnWheels app and plans his trip.
- He selects the city of Rome, finds a hotel & flights as well as renting an accessible vehicle for his trip to the airport.
- Kris arrives at the airport parking without much trouble. The parking is very full – He is pleasantly surprised that the app is guiding him to his parking spot. A barrier has reserved his parking spot for him. As his car approaches, the barrier lowers and he can park his car.
- While Kris is parking, the airport personnel are warned about his arrival and the assistant he has requested is ready to meet him. When arriving at the airport in Rome, he experiences a similar level of service and is brought to his hotel in the city center.
- The hotel is easily accessible by wheelchair with elevators, ramps and wide hallways.
- During his holiday, Kris explores the center of Rome, visiting the nearby accessible tourist attractions (especially enjoying the rollroutes in the app!). He decides to take a 1 day trip to the city of Tivoli, 30km east of Rome. To get there he books transportation via the On Wheels app.
- On the way back, Kris is happy to rate and share his experience on social media.

Note:
This is just an example, we want to collect as many innovative and useful ideas as possible. You should go into as much detail as possible about how the steps would look. Community, games and challenges, social interaction, new technologies are all things that you could consider. Think broader!

Target Audience
- Existing and potential future users of the On Wheels app.
- People in wheelchairs
- Other users with limited access (elderly, visually impaired, etc.)
- All ages
