Challenge Summary

Welcome to the “GE - Responsive Pledge Tool Design Concepts Challenge”. In this challenge, we are looking to start designing the user experience for our new, and inspirational Pledge Tool.  This is the first of 3 challenges where we are looking to plan and design the Pledge Tool experience.  We are looking for you to focus on a designing an engaging and inspirational user experience for where GE employees can search, find and give to local charities they believe in. This experience should be consistent, clear and concise.

We are providing wireframes so you can understand the pledge tool and required inputs. We do not want you to be hindered by the wireframes. Our goal here is to create an ALL NEW  experience where GE employees have a simple and "inspirational" giving experience.

Challenge Description:
This challenge is focused on concepting our initial Responsive experience (Phone and Desktop). We want employees to be inspired and enjoy the (simple) experience of searching, selecting and giving.

This is the first of 3 challenges to plan and design the Pledge Tool. This challenge is only focused on the GE employee who is pledging part of their income to a charity (or multiple charities) of their choice. Future challenges will be focused on the Admin and Reporting features of the application.

The application should be designed with a mobile first approach to the experience. What features are important on mobile vs desktop?

Things to think about:
- Modern experience for searching and selecting available charities (think of marketplaces)
The high-level pledge steps are:
- Choose pay-type and amount
- Choose charity/charities (default suggestion is the local United Way that is aligned with the employee’s work zip code)
- Internal/External Release & Recognition questions (and auto-renew, if you give by payroll))
- Review
- Confirm/Submit

Potential Screens:
1. Dashboard
2. Pledge Details + Steps
- Choose charity/charities (default suggestion is the local United Way that is aligned with the employee's work zip code)
- Charities that an employee could select would be from a subscription to a Federal list of Active 501(c)3 non-profit agencies.
- Choose pay type and amount
- Donor Information
- Review
- Complete
3. My Profile
4. Additional Screens/content?

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance
- Focus User Experience! Focus on the navigation experience. Keeping consistent visual elements - from signal, to understanding, to action.

Screen Sizes:
- We are looking for mobile and desktop views of the Pledge Tool
- Specific screen sizes: Responsive Phone/Desktop
- Make sure you create graphic in 'shape' format, so when we resize graphics everything will still look sharp!

Branding/Colors:
- Follow the branding and colors of GE - see attachment for colors/logo
- Review GE.com for guidance on their latest design approach.

Supporting Documents:
- Wireframes
- CSF-UW Processes for Challenges
- Customer Brand Instructions

Target Audience:
- GE employees

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually.
