Welcome coders! In this challenge GE Empower is looking for some talented Salesforce developers to enhance their integration between their Empower system and SFDC.
Currently Empower is displayed in a modal on an opportunity page when a button is clicked. This works, but could be better. The modal has a lot of dead space on the page that is not utilized, and there are multiple scrollbars on the page which can make navigation challenging.
Your goal is to embed the page directly into SFDC with a single scrollbar and the ability to close the page. See the screenshot below for an example of how it should look. (Obviously we can’t have the browser bar there though!)
Important features:
When button is clicked, Empower UI is opened directly in SFDC. Button should be labeled “New QMS Quote”.
Some sort of button must exist to return to full SFDC UI. Must be clear to the user
SFDC Nav bar along the top must remain visible.
Sidebar should be visible if it is expanded. If user closes sidebar, Empower UI should take up that space.
No more than a single vertical and horizontal scroll bar can be displayed
Technical Details
To help make this easier a copy of the empower HTML has been uploaded to Heroku and the link is available in the forum. You can use this URL to test how the page renders. There is no logic running or authentication for you to worry about - just focus on the page rendering in the best way possible.
