Challenge Overview

We ran a bug hunt that identified as many accessibility (WCAG 2.0) compliance issues as possible from the provided HTML prototype.

The goal of this challenge is to fix the reported issues.

This code challenge is part of the HPE Live Blitz Challenge Series. Make sure to check it out!

Challenge Requirements

We have three sheets, each sheet represents a submission we received, we picked 3 submissions with unique issues, here are the rules :

- You must fix all issues marked with “High” priority.

- Issues with “Medium/Low” priority are optional to fix, if you decided to fix then you are responsible to deliver a valid fix, reviewers will punish you for any issue that was not properly fixed. In return, you will get extra 20% in scorecard if you fixed these issues, we will have dedicated question for these.

- By fixing, you are following the WCAG 2.0 guidelines and deliver the proper fix.

- Best practices for JS/CSS/HTML must be followed.

- You are not allowed to add any new JS libraries or CSS frameworks. You will fix existing prototype only.

- There are content fix, you must provide proper text for the issues that require content update, if you need help post in forums to get clarifications.

- Update the excel file by adding new column that mark if you fixed or not the issue, you can also add a comment column to deliver notes to reviewers/copilot about the fix.

UI prototype

The files are provided in challenge forums. It contains a .git folder, you can use it to group your fixes into commits to make it easy for reviewers to review.

You can do commits locally, and by uploading the full submission reviewers will be able to check the commits history and see your fixes.

 



Final Submission Guidelines

Deliverable

- The UI Prototype files in zip file, it must include the .git folder with past commits.

- Excel file updated with your note/fix column.

- Deployment guide (optional as html prototype basically just need to be open directly browser or hosted in any web server.

- Verification document.
