Challenge Summary
The goal of this challenge is to update the platform and the content of the Quality Assurance website. Quality Assurance website is an internal site that is currently built in SharePoint 2010 with some elements of customization, so we will provide you with screenshots of the current site to have a look at it.
Round 1

Background Information:
The two primary purposes of the site are:
1) Provide quick/efficient access to the quality related information that employees need in their day to day work.
2) Inform employees on current quality news, events and information.
Challenge Description:
The site will serve as the landing and launching page for all quality content and tools, including to any software designed to facilitate specific quality processes (eg: Verification Audits, CAPA, One QMS, Supplier/Vendor Portal).
We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).
Notes:
- Desktop: Design for display 1280px and height as required.
- Mobile: Design for display 750px x 1334px.
- Make sure you create graphic in 'shape' format, so when we resize graphics will still look sharp!
- Feel free to suggest any tools/functions that can bring good User Experience for this tool.
Design Requirements:
- Ease of use across a wide spectrum of user capability is the primary requirement.
- The web site design will need to be clean and professional while structuring the information to be easily browsed by users.
- Design should remain consistent across all sub-pages.
- Website needs to include a strong search function.
- Design must meet the A conformance level of WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
- Design will need to be responsive to desktop, tablet and smart phones.
Required Screens:
1. Homepage:
- The home page should be a clean, quality focused site with 2 to 4 click navigation to relevant content for most users. Key content on the page will be current information/news, upcoming events calendar with links to sign up.
2. Quality Team Page:
- this will be a link to a secure Sharepoint repository
3. Quality Management System Page:
- Current: Houses standards and links to sites / information that support the standards. In Future state this should direct user to software housing Enterprise Quality Management system.
4. Resources Page:
- This is a section for information that would be used less frequently but which is important to the teams for reference. The content may range from newsletters to powerpoint presentations to videos.
5. Tools Page:
- This section should be a launching site to get to other sites, software applications, database tools, etc.

Current design is cluttered and not very organized. Slide show/ carousel is not needed but there needs to be some way to highlight certain news stories and events.

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance
Target Audience:
- Primary audience is plant employees with quality responsibilities and corporate quality employees. These users should use the website frequently as a resource for their daily work.
- R&D, Sourcing and Manufacturing employees that have responsibilities that intersect with quality will be secondary users of the site.
- Corporate support functions (legal, insurance, etc) may be occasional users depending on circumstances.
Judging Criteria:
- Overall User Experience.
- Completeness and accuracy of the designs as defined in requirements.
- How well your designs provide a consistent user flow.
- How well your designs captures all the requirements.
- Any suggestions, interactions and user flows you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client).

Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.
Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.
Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.
