This challenge will focus on designing the user experience for desktop screens!

What is a RUX Challenge?
The RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenge uses the same format as our famous LUX Challenge except it is not "Live" at an event. The RUX Challenge Series provides you with an opportunity to show digital leaders from some of the largest companies in the world just how good your concepting and user experience (UI/UX) design skills are.

RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenges are fast, fun, and have more chances for you to capture prize money!

Note: You do not need to have RUX challenge experience to join this challenge - Just jump in and give it a try! Make sure to follow the challenge details, the challenge forum and ask questions

The goal of this challenge is to take the provided design problem, analyze the user experience and provide design concepts and visual ideas on how the application might look and work!

Design Problem:
We have an existing system in place that has been enhanced over many years and additional functionality added to support the auto finance Quote/ proposal process this has resulted in a number of processes managed in different systems (i.e. separate log and in and no straight through processing of data entered) due to this it has resulted in an ineffective process and outdated user experience compared to our competitors in the market place. This application will be used by auto dealerships for auto loan processing.

Required Screens/ Functionality
01 Dashboard
- Need to have a visual high level view of all applications and their status, these will have the ability to drill down and access individual application directly (something like pie-charts, etc.) i.e. Proposals/Awaiting decision/Approved/Submitted to pay-out/Paid/Held offering
- Show List Current "In progress" applications.
- Dealer Work Queue: Ability to display all current applications/search by status/date/customer name/if group by Site/Sales person etc. etc.
- Message board to display the key marketing messages
- Settlement Figure: Ability for dealer to get current outstanding of loan and print for customer includes validity date
- Search: Ability to search customer data and option to select components to be copied i.e. finance data/ customer data or both or if existing quote access directly.
- User should be able to search / enter criteria to view list of applications that were submitted.
- Need a way to show the alerts which could include (alert to set SLA’s, should reflect a notification when status of a proposal changes, etc.)

02 Data Entry Screens:
The credit application data entry should follow a logical process flow. The process flow order may vary by country. The 3 main processes are described as follows and for each of the processes there will be a set of required fields:
- Pre-approval.
- Quote.
- Application.

Please refer to Logical Process Data Flow.xlsx document (Logical Process Data Flow.xlsxyou can find the link to document in challenge forums) for a list of required data for each of the processes.

Additional Screen Considerations:
- Ability to display financing plans and have default values for plans based on customer type (i.e. Individual, company) / model year/ condition (New, Used)/ vehicle registration date show eligible plans.
- We need a way to show descriptive alerts on screen (For ex: would show error if plan selected is only for 48 Months but user had chosen 60).
- Ability to save multiple quotes to a single proposal and ability to retrieve user would have the ability to select quote to move to proposal stage.
- Side by Side quotes comparison quotes: Ability to show comparison quote (Vehicle, term, Plan, deposits VAP - VAPs are defined as additional products such as Vehicle Insurance, Extended Warranty, Life Insurance, Parts and Accessories, etc.)
- Goal & Seek: Ability to fine tune the customer quote based on customer needs i.e. assume customer budget is £250 per month, so reverse calculate by increasing, Term, Deposit, target APR etc. We need to display options in a single screen i.e. display term options, deposit, APR etc. user select most appropriate stops multiple calculations by the dealers.
- Intelligent VAPs
- Sales Tip for VAP’s (i.e. Sales Commission)
- Email Quote facility to customer
- Save / Print

04 Updating Applications:
Approval:
- Ability to change select fields (i.e. increased down-payment and/or add insurance products) without re-submitting.
- Ability to change status back to working or cancel.
- Ability to automatically accept conditions or re-proposal without manual input (i.e. users would see a rejected application and a new version with revised parameters such as increased down-payment that will allow the application to get approved).
- Ability to add mandatory documents to purchase up and above the standard set.
- Ability to add co-buyer and guarantor.

Request for Payment:
- Ability to print all or individual applications
- Ability to scan and upload/ view uploaded documents
