Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "FAST - Insurance Agency Performance Dashboard Monitor Design Challenge"! In this challenge we are looking for some quick concepts on what a single dashboard can look like that will display on large monitors in the client's offices and conference rooms. This is a single screen design and the challenge will run for 3 days from start to finish! Have fun and ask questions in the forum!
Background Overview
The client has a series of monitors in their office that they would like to display a live dashboard screen that monitors various metrics, displays news, and updates in real-time. We are looking for your to design what this dashboard looks like and the best experience for displaying the information and data on a TV monitor (this is a non-interactive monitor. Viewing only)

Branding Guidelines
- This should be a serious/professional looking application
- The overall look should be bright and clean

Screen Size
- This application is going to be displayed on large TV monitors:
-- 16:9 aspect ratio
-- 1920px(w) by 1080px(h)

Screen Requirements/ Content Sections
- Your dashboard needs to display a few specific data points and information outlined below.
- The display should be easy to read from a distance
- Should serve as a quick snapshot of information and data
- We are open to other ideas and content types that would be useful to the viewer.

01) Main Revenue and Numbers Tracker
- PIF Count: 13.6M
- Total Premium: $19.9B
- New Business Count: 4,563 [Show Up/ Down arrow with percentage of change]
- Cancellation Count: 2,195 [Show Up/ Down arrow with percentage of change]
- Renewal Count: 1,945 (Show Up/ Down arrow with percentage of change]
- FFR Compliance: 73.2% (Target = 75%) [Monthly/ Quarterly Data]
- NPS Score: 43.3% (Target = 45%) [Monthly/ Quarterly Data]

02) Real time Weather
- Display of real-time weather for the office location of the monitor
- Maybe the ability to have multiple views/ have the weather area cycle through "Current", "3 Day", 5 Day", etc. type weather information

03) Quotes & Sales - Today
- Live Feed/ Real Time
- We are open to ideas for the best way to show this data (map, charts, visualizations, etc.)
- We need to show "Quotes" vs "Sales" numbers in 4 different insurance categories: Auto, Home, Umbrella, and Life
- The exact numbers aren't important, we want to see what the best way is to visualize this type of data is.

03) Quotes & Sales - Year to Date (YTD)
- Similar data and information as Quotes & Sales - Today, just looking at data over the entire year
- We need to show "Quotes" vs "Sales" numbers in 4 different insurance categories: Auto, Home, Umbrella, and Life
- Need to show numbers over time from beginning of year to current date

04) Key Zone Metrics
- Displays key data and information broken down by region
- We are looking for something that maybe more engaging and visually interesting than a table
- Example data can be found in challenge attachment.

05) Agent Segmentation
- Agents are segmented based on their performance and ranked either A or AA or AAA agent
- This is derived based on various metrics and calculated on a monthly basis
- Calculating the performance based on sales, and other metrics

06) CAT News
- News and alert type messages. Examples include:
-- CAT GH1 has been declared in Texas & Georgia for the Property LOB due to Storms with strong winds and heavy rain that moved through El Paso
-- CAT GG1 has been declared in California for the Property LOB due to Storms with strong winds and heavy rain that moved through Sacramento

07) Sponsor Messages
- Examples messages include:
-- Texas is seeing strong growth thanks to the new SPH product and the hard work of our agents. – J. Swope (HOT)
-- Washington is facing challenges due to rating within the Auto LOB – C. Mills (HOT)
-- Western Zone is seeing tremendous growth thanks to Prospect Lite! – R. Shriver (HOZ)

08) NPS News
- A CNN, MSNBC, BBC style news ticker that scrolls news headlines across the screen
- Usually, this is found along the bottom of the screen
- Example headline content can include:

- Agents and employees of the company
 
Judging Criteria
Your submission will be judged on the following criterias:
- Overall design and user experience
- How well do your designs follow the UI guidelines and branding
- How well your designs will be viewed on a TV monitor
 
Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1)1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.
 
Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.
 
Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or similar application.
 
Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
