Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Healthy Islands Vision Responsive Website Concept Design Challenge

This new web site that will be built using WordPress will consolidate multiple Pacific Health web sites under a single portal.  It is envisioned to become the principal source of information for Pacific health; data, information and research dissemination; be a one stop shop for Pacific countries to follow up on matters related to regional health governance and the implementation of the different components related to the Healthy Islands Vision.

Round 1

Your initial concept design for checkpoint review

Round 2

Your final concept design with feedback incorporated.

The goal of this challenge is to create a design solution for a responsive website that will become the principal source of information for Pacific health, data, information and research dissemination for Pacific countries.

We'd like to see some concepts designs with features outlined below.

The project will have its main portal or parent site and sub-sites.

For the parent Healthy Island (HI) Vision site, the following site structure should be included in the design:

1. Front page to display articles or posts relating to recent HI Vision activities, e.g. ministerial meetings and outcomes

2. A 'Regional Governance Meetings' section which currently exists on the Pacific NCD Network site will need to be moved to the parent HI Vision site.

3. A section dedicated to each of our 26 member countries (refer to the SPC website for a list of member countries: http://www.spc.int/our-members/). Member country sections will contain articles about recent HI Vision activities in-country and also serve as a repository for policy documents.

Initially we will have three existing sites that will be migrated to the new HI Vision web site as sub-sites. By "migration" it means it will use the new design concept for the sub-sites while using and organizing the existing content.

1. www.pphsn.net
2. www.pacificncdnetwork.org
3. www.sscsip.org

The existing sites (listed above) can be used as a guide for content and what pages are needed.

NOTE:  a draft PPHSN web site (http://pphsn.sscreative.uk/ ) was created to replace the old one but has not been completed.  The site structure from the draft site can be used as a reference for structuring the new PPHSN site.

Further project sub-sites are likely to be added in the near future.  The web site design template should allow us to easily add new sub sites. Each of the sub-sites will share common visual design but should maintain unique visual identifiers to distinguish between different projects or themes.  Each of the sub-sites will also have their own content owners.
