Challenge Summary

Welcome to "Athena Sourcing Strategy Mobile App Design Concepts Challenge". In this challenge, we are looking for new UI/UX Design Concepts focused on a mobile application that allows People Managers the ability to perform a quick analysis in order to recommend and select the correct resources needed for a specific need. The People Managers will be using the application to help analyze the match between supply and demand in order to support long-term workforce planning and to optimize the use of in-house resources versus vendors based on projects and talent need. The goal is an application that can inform their sourcing strategy (when to hire, contract or outsource). Good luck and let us know any questions in the forum.

Round 1

Submit your initial Mobile design for a Checkpoint Feedback
- Provide a MarvelApp presentation of your design to help us understand your design concept.
- Request a MarvelApp prototype/project from copilot fajar.mln or
adroc (via forum or email)
- Make sure all pages have correct flow. Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03)

Round 2

Submit your Final Design plus Checkpoint Updates.
- Provide a MarvelApp presentation of your design to help us understand your design concepts (replace your checkpoint images).
- Make sure all pages have correct flow. Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03)

Background Overview
As part of Athena Resource Fluidity planning, they would like to explore design concepts for a new mobile application used by their People Managers. When using this application People Managers want to understand:

A. Supply
1) What people are working on
2) Their experience level
3) Availability
4) Skills and capability
5) Career aspirations
6) Contractor or employee (or vendor/consultant)

B. Demand
1) Projects
2) Day-to-day operational needs

They want to know this in order to:
- Match supply with demand
- Determine long-term workforce planning
- Optimize use of in-house vs. contractors vs. vendors by project/need
- Inform sourcing strategy (build, buy, borrow)

The People Manager will use the app to:
- Perform analysis in order to make a recommendation on the appropriate resource to meet a specific need
- Facilitate a staffing decision with both the Project Manager requires a resource and his/her Line Manager
- Execute this staffing movement and track status
- Report to leadership on resources at Athena's disposal and the degrees to which these resources are allocated efficiently

Use Case to Explore in this Challenge
A. PERFORM ANALYSIS AND COME UP WITH RECOMMENDATION
- What is the demand I need to fulfill?
- What is available to me in-house? (Eg. How many Polish-speaking actuaries do we have?) How many are available and/or when will they become available?  What are they currently doing?
- Is there a gap? If so:
-- Should we be contractors or vendors (or the crowd)?
-- Is there an option to fill the gap through upskilling? Who have the raw skills to be trained in DevOps?
-- Should we swap out resources for more critical projects?

Challenge Design Task
- Create UI/UX Design Concepts presented using a MarvelApp Prototype. Your concepts should showcase how this People Manager will be enabled to make the following decisions based on the provided Use Case.
- What is the demand I need to fulfill?
- What is available to me in-house? (see use case)
- Is there a gap in supply and demand? If so:
-- should we be contractors or vendors (or the crowd)?
-- Is there an option to fill the gap through upskilling, and has the raw skills to be trained in e.g. DevOps?
-- Should we swap out resources from less critical projects?
- Any additional screens or use case explorations.

Design Considerations
- Focus on iOS UI/UX design patterns
- In order to keep the UX clean and simple, we will start with visual designs for an iPhone app.
- This is a new application and no content is currently available.
- Think about the priority features/what is on the home/dashboard?
- How quickly can the user find the information?
- Give importance to the overall layout and think on how a user would interact with the content on the page.
- Think through the use case and let us know what questions you have.
- Capture the user experience, user flow/click-path, and navigation.

Required Pages/Features:
This challenge is exploratory! We are looking for your concepts and ideas on initial requirements and use case.

Design Requirements
- Follow Branding Guidelines (see attachments)
- Mobile: 750px x 1334px (iPhone @2x)
- Upload your screens to MarvelApp for review and to showcase the experience (ask for MarvelApp prototype/project from co-pilot or PM in challenge forum)
- Professional, clean, easy to read and look at

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance
