Challenge Summary

Welcome to Ohio Deferred Compensation - Wireframe Challenge. In this challenge, we are looking for your help to come up with a new user experience for an existing application.

The client is looking to modernize an existing legacy web site for the public sector employees to manage their retirement funds. We are looking for your help to create a best in class user experience design that follows our clients corporate branding which is responsive and intuitive.

We are looking to see intuitive and easy to use "wireframe concepts" that will help us design and build UI/UX in the next phase of this project!

The main focus on this requirement is that it shall be designed taking into consideration that it shall support modern browsers and multiple devices across multiple operating systems. We are looking for your help to improve the overall flow and user experience of this application.

Wireframe Considerations:
- Provide us with your interaction and click-path thoughts and suggestions
- Produce HTML click-through wireframes that can be used to demonstrate all mentioned functionalities as required in each round.
- The website must be very easy to use and intuitive. Keep that in mind when you create your solution for the layout and flow information.
- You MUST cover all requirements mentioned in challenge details below.

IMPORTANT:
- Consistent look & feel between pre-login (Web User) and post-login (Participant)
- Consistent Navigation throughout the site
- You are creating wireframes for a responsive website
- Modernize design and use visual cues to enhance users sense of security
- Prioritize content - create a hierarchy of information from most to least important
- One stop calculator - create a calculator/planning app that could replace multiple tools
- For enrollment, manage expectations of steps in process
- Add personalization - at minimum identify the user post-login, display on every page
- For all transactions, manage expectations of steps in process
- Prominent visual display of account balance (s)
- Use graphic data visualization display to show contribution allocation

01 Account Summary:

- Participant will be able to view their account summary and also have ability to print them
- Key account information that will be in account summary (please refer provided excel file for reference on the data to included).

Statements:

- User shall be able to view Quarterly statements and Annual statements.
- User shall be able to view last four quarterly statements.
- User shall be able to view most recent annual statement.
- Quarterly and annual statements are PDF documents which will be made available in the system.

02 Deferral Change:

- User shall be able to view the current deferral amount and should be able to change the current deferral amount.

02.1 Allocation Change:

- User shall be able to view the current allocations and shall be able to change allocations for future deferrals.
- Display the available investment options, current contribution in dollars, in percent.
- Should allow the user to select Dollar or Percent format while changing deferral allocations

03 Fund Exchange:

- User shall be able to perform Fund exchanges.
- We need to display the number of exchanges performed in the last 45 days on the account.
- User shall be able to perform fund exchange by percent exchange ONLY i.e.
- User shall select "Exchange From" fund and shall select the "Exchange To" fund.
- User shall be able to review the fund exchange before submitting.
- On success, we show the exchange confirmation and create an exchange request in pending status for processing.
- User shall receive a written confirmation of the Exchange transaction. This is the written confirmation with exchange details, dollars and units after exchange is executed.
- User shall be able to print the exchange confirmation. User may print the confirmation screen after they have confirmed their exchange request.
- User shall be able to view all pending Exchange requests.

04 Fund Detail

Prospectus/Forms:
- User shall be able to view the list of fund Prospectuses and fund Profiles. Prospectuses and profiles are PDF documents made available in the system from plan administrators.
- User shall be able to print the fund prospectuses and fund profiles.
- User shall be able to view Quarterly Investment Performance Report.
- User shall be able to request Fund Prospectus online. User shall be able to view the list of Fund Prospectuses and shall be able to select the required prospectuses to be sent.
- User shall receive a Account Activity email of the Fund Prospectus request transaction.

Fund Performance:

- User shall be able to view past performance of the funds. User shall be able to view the performance by fund grouping.
- - - International Stocks, Small Cap Stocks, Mid cap stocks, Large-Cap Stocks, LifePat, Bonds, Fixed Account/Cash
- User shall be able to view Monthly, Quarterly performance without Plan Charges. Key information that must be included on these monthly and quarterly fund performance can be referred in the provided excel file.

05 Transaction History:

- User will be able to search and view the transaction history.
- Allow the user to choose a date range, so based on that key transaction information is shown.
- User will be able to view the following key transaction information: Fund, Transaction Type, Transaction Amount, Unit Price, Number of Units.

06 1 Manage Personal Information:

- User shall be able to view personal information (Name, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Home Phone, Work Phone, Mobile Phone, Account Recovery mobile Phone, Correspondence Email Address, Account Recovery Email Address)
- User shall be able to change personal information (Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Home Phone, Work Phone, Mobile Phone, Correspondence Email Address)
- Once request is submitted, system will process the change immediately.
- User shall receive a confirmation email of Account Activity transaction.

06 2 Manage E-Delivery Preferences:

- User shall be able to manage e-delivery preferences for Quarterly Statements, Focus News Letter’s etc.,. Currently there are only two types of documents. Retirement Company may add more document types and user should be able to manage e-delivery preferences for each document type by selecting one or more following delivery methods:
- - - Paperless with e-mail Notification
- - - US mail

06 3 File Upload (NEW):
- Provide a screens to upload files
- User shall be able to browse and select a file (Document, image, PDF etc.,) online, select document type and add description/comments.
- This functionality is applicable for participants ONLY.

07 Help:
- There will be online help for each page on the website.
- Content of the online help will be provided by Retirement Company during detailed requirements phase of the project.
- Online help should be page specific and user should be able to navigate to other topics if need be.

08 Enrollment:

(NOTE: This functionality is available for both user types)

- Participant will be able to enroll into Retirement Company 457 plan of their choice.
- To enroll, they will need to provide “SSN, Select Employer (Search / lookup and select), Select retirement Plan”
- They will be required to provide personal information “First Name, Last Name, Middle Initial, Address Line 1, Line 2, City, State, Zip, Date Of Birth, Gender, Home Phone Work Phone, Email Address, Number of Pays per year”
- User shall be able to provide Withholding Worksheet information: Annual 457 contributions to other plan
- Once above details are entered, we need to show how much he/she may contribute to the state Public Employees Deferred Compensation Program.
- User shall be able to view Quarterly without Plan Charges and Monthly Without Plan Charges.
- Following key information must be included on the fund performance: Investment Option, Current Price as of Prep Month, Average Annual Percentage return (YTD, 1Yr, 3 Yr., 5Yr, 10 Yr, Since Adoption), Adoption Date and Expense ratio.
- User shall enter the contribution amount, select the investment options and fund allocation. User shall be able to select the allocation by percentage or dollar amount.

09 View Quick Balance:

- User shall be able to view and access quick balance easily once logged in.
- They will be able to view the Account Value, Account Type details.

10 Withdrawal Request (NEW):
- User shall be able to create Withdrawal Request - Regular by providing the details mentioned in the excel file
- Should be able to set the Payment Frequency
- Then be able to choose the Payment Option
- Ability to select a fund
- State & Federal tax information
- User shall be able to create Withdrawal Request by providing the details mentioned in the excel file
- User will be able to View / Modify Pending Withdrawals.
- User shall be able to View Current Withdrawal.
- User shall be able to view and Modify WE Fund Information.
- User shall be able to Manage WE Taxes (Add/View/Modify).
- User shall be able to Manage WE Bank Information (View/Modify).
- Manage WE Fund: User shall be able to view and Modify WE Fund Information
- Manage WE Taxes: User shall be able to Manage WE Taxes (Add/View/Modify)
- Manage WE Bank Information: User shall be able to Manage WE Bank Information (View/Modify).
- View 1099 Documents: User shall be able to View 1099 tax documents. System shall allow the user to view the current and future 1099 documents ONLY. 1099 Tax documents are made available in the system once received by print vendor.

11 Manage Beneficiaries (NEW):    
- User will be able to view and update (person/estate/organization) current beneficiary information for an account.
- - - - To add/update a person as beneficiary user must enter the following information: "Beneficiary type, First Name, last Name, SSN, Address Line 1, Line 2, City, State, Zip, DOB, Allocation Percentage,
Relationship".
- - - - To add/update an organization as beneficiary user must enter the following information: Beneficiary type, Name, Federal Tax ID, Address Line 1, Line 2, City, State, Zip, DOB, Allocation Percentage, Organization Type.
- While managing beneficiaries, System shall be able to apply the beneficiaries to Selected Account (s) or chose to apply for All accounts.

12 Roth457 (NEW):
- A user shall be able to manage the features of their Roth 457 account on the participant web portal.
- Withdrawal related functionalities will have separate business rules for Roth 457 account types. In short, Withdrawal rules must be driven by Account Type.

B. Web Users (Pre-login):
NOTE: Features mentioned in the "Functional Requirements" has more details but not all of that details need to be included / only the screens that we have provided for reference is of high priorty for web-user.

13 Homepage / Landing Page:

- Public facing website home page should provide structured, attentive information to users.

Target Audience
The web site is used by public sector employees to manage their retirement funds. There are 2 main types of users of the web site:
- Participant (post-login)
- Web User (pre-login)

Participant:
User who enrolled into State’s retirement plan. Can setup online account and manage investments.

Web User (Any web user):
Web User, mostly who is Interested in Retirement Benefits or enrolled participant.
