Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "RUX - 72H Sourcing Portal UI Design Challenge". In this challenge we are looking to create the new user interface for an upcoming portal that can help sourcing managers to quickly initiate an event based on a few simple questions, while still making it look good and professional. We need your best (new) ideas and concepts!

What is a RUX Challenge?
The RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenge uses the same format as our famous LUX Challenge except it is not "Live" at an event. The RUX Challenge Series provides you with an opportunity to show digital leaders from some of the largest companies in the world just how good your concept and user experience (UI/UX) design skills are.

RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenges are fast, fun, and have more chances for you to capture prize money!

Note: You do not need to have RUX challenge experience to join this challenge - Just jump in and give it a try! Make sure to follow the challenge details, the challenge forum and ask questions
The goal of this challenge is to take the provided design problem, analyze the user experience and provide design concepts and visual ideas on how the new portal might look and work!

Design Problem
CBA currently uses SAP Ariba as the central sourcing and CLM tool. However, only less than 5% of the sourcing projects are run through Ariba. Users find it tedious when they have to create an entire sourcing event from scratch. Alternatively, they prefer managing the project outside the system which helps them leverage multiple assets from previous projects. SAP Ariba is a pure Saas Platform and customizations are limited.

The goal is to elevate user experience and mitigate factors that discourage sourcing managers from using the Ariba System. The project will help CBA to unlock the value of e-sourcing and drive millions of dollars in savings.

The main key on this challenge is to think and design the new experience for a portal for sourcing events that can help sourcing managers to quickly initiate an event based on few simple questions.

Workflow:
The flow of the application that has been envision is as follows:
-   User login into the application.
-   The sourcing user selects product or category that is sourcing today (IT/ Real Estate / Professional Services etc) or just type in a product search and the application will figure the right category.
-   What is the expected budget? (From 10k to 100Mn).
-   How many suppliers would you like to engage with? or a list of already empaneled suppliers.
-   Do you have a end date in mind?

Things to think about:
-   There are not any wireframes created for this challenge, but we have a video from the existing Ariba Sourcing platform. We are not asking to redesign this application. Actual user experience is tedious and extremely confusing. This should help us to have a better visual of what the new application for CBA should do.
-   A definition of sourcing projects can be found here.
-   Please use your creativity and propose your best ideas on this project. Simplicity should be your focus.
-   This new interface should encourages users (sourcing manager) to complete the process and start an event in less than 5 mins.
-   Consider: Less clicks, important information should be visible and easy to catch.
-   Should be clean, open, and modern looking.
-   Show us new concepts and ideas for how things could be designed and function.
-   We have provided a color palette that works with their current brand. Please avoid dark themes while designing.

Required Screens
For this challenge we just need 4 screens plus any iterations you think necessary to complement your design proposal.

1) Login:
-   This will be the initial screen of this portal. Please consider the regular login features on this screen. Should be clean, corporate and engaging.

2) Home/Dashboard:
-   This screen should serve as a clean and easy way to list all events created by sourcing manager.
-   Think on features like: Project lists, action or “To Do” list.
-   Some useful charts and stats information will be good, such like “Supplier Participation”, “Sourcing Project Analysis”, “Contracts”, “Events”.
-   Please show how the navigation should work on this screen that easily connect/link to the next screens.

3) Create Sourcing Project (Key screen)
-   Client is planning to utilize the template feature of Ariba to simplify sourcing event creation. So pre-configured templates would be setup in Ariba. Based on simple Q&A’s, sourcing manager would be able to jump start an event in less than 5 mins.
-   Think on how this process can be easily splitted in a wizard style page that walk the user through the whole process of creating a sourcing project.

4) Event Detail
-   An event should have:
    -   Rules
    -   Team
    -   Suppliers
    -   Content
    -   Summary

5) Presentation Screen - 1920x1080 (16:9 Ratio)
- In a RUX challenge, this screen is the way to showcase your concept so keep it simple and make it look good!
- If you were walking into a meeting and needed to sell your idea - use this screen to showcase your concept.
