Challenge Summary

Welcome to the RRT - Responsive Admin Application Design Challenge!! We recently completed the design challenge to create the initial design concepts for our internal “Regulatory Reference Tool” application. In this design challenge, we are looking for you to come up with designs for the admin views and focus on the user experience of the application.

In this challenge we will be providing you with the previous winning design of the RRT Application and we now need you to follow / make sure your designs are inline with the provided designs.

This challenge is focused on continuing to create a great user experience for the RRT Admin application.

About RRT Application:
RRT is an internal, searchable regulatory reference tool and library of forms that allows our advisors and compliance employees quick access to regulatory materials and educational tools.
- Download and explore the provided wireframes (notes are included)
- Overviews of the major laws and regulations applicable to advisers���
- Searchable database and library of forms

Focus on
- The ability to find what you are looking for quickly.
- Overall Navigation of the app (Desktop & Tablet).
- Graphic and visual refinements, consistency from screen to screen.
- Typography and visual hierarchy.

For this challenge, you will access to the wireframe reference and previous challenge designs, please request access to the files in forums!

Design Considerations
- This is a Responsive web application!
- In this challenge we need all form factors: Desktop and Tablet views.
- Make sure you create your graphics in 'shape' format, so when we resize graphics will still look sharp!
- We are providing screens/designs from the previous challenge, please make sure your designs are inline with the provided designs.

Required Screens & Features:
We are supplying designs from the previous challenge and need you to follow similar design aesthetics.

Admin Screens:
Please see provided wireframes for content reference, admin screens starts from page 17 of the pdf

01 Landing Page:
- Take a look at the wireframes (all pages in admin) and come up with ideas on what needs to exist in this page.

02 View List:
Events:
- How will the user view list of events
- What options they should see?

Quick Guides:
- How will the user view list of quick guides
- What options they should see?

03 Create /Edit Event:
- This page allows the user to create or edit an event

04 Quick Guide Editing:
- Will allow the user to create or edit a quick guide

05 User Viewing and Editing:
- How should the list of users be shown and what features they will have (filter, search, etc)
- Provides the ability to add /remove users and assign roles to the users (while creating or editing a user).

06 Attribute Viewing / Editing:
- How should the list of users be shown and what features they will have (filter, search, etc)
- Allows the user to view the attribute.
- Will have options to edit the attribute, show us how this need to work

07 Glossary/ Documents and Contacts Editing:
- Show us how these view will look like
- Provide option for the user to edit these.

08 Notifications:
- We already have notifications designs, please make sure to include them as a part of admin screens as well.
- If you have any improvements, please feel free to show them!

Marvel Prototype
- We need you to upload your screens to Marvel App.
- Please send your marvelapp request to csystic@gmail.com and CC adam@topcoder.com
- You MUST include your Marvelapp URL (in your marvelapp prototype, click on share and then copy the link & share it within your notes/comment this link while you upload).

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance

- Does the app have a professional feel?
- Is it compatible with mobile (Tablet)?
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Creativity and ease-of-use is key to the success as it must be engaging to users

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file!

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
