Challenge Summary
Welcome to the “VTX Web Import Wizard UI Design Challenge”. In this challenge we are looking to rethink and redesign a new browser-based wizard that is meant to access Actian cloud-based services and consolidate web services logins and web application access. We will provide the wireframes that will serve as a guideline for your new design. Let us know if you have any questions in the forum. Good luck!
This is a two-round challenge. After the initial Round One submission, you will receive feedback, which you may incorporate in your Round Two submission.

Background information
We are looking for new and creative ways to design this wizard that will be used by Enterprise IT users and developers to help them select a service from a list of services. Your submission should have a specific example for one service that deals with data import from a relational database.
Key Requirements
- This design should be really straight forward and easy to use.
- Follow client branding guidelines (see below). We need to work with these colors only. Do not reinvent colors.
- Target device is desktop web browsers only. Use 1280px (width) for your design or 2560px (width) if you work on a retina display.
- Height can be increased accordingly. But keep in mind that main content should be designed to be visible before the fold.
- Designs should be simple and minimalist. Avoid the use of stock images as background.

- We are looking for new and creative options on how the user can import data from a relational database into the service.

- We want to use Marvel App to provide direct and fast feedback. We can also track your design updates and screen versions within Marvel App.
- No additional functionality is required. Just make sure your screen(s) are in the correct viewing order (number them 00, 01, 02, 03, etc.)
- You must include your Topcoder Marvel App URL within your .Notes file
Judging Criteria
- Creativity and innovation
- Overall new concepts and execution/design of your concepts
- How well your design aligns with the objectives of the challenge
- Execution and thoughtfulness put into the solving the problem
- Overall design and user experience
- Cleanliness of screen design and user flow
- Winners will be determined by Actian in its sole discretion, and all decisions are final.
