Challenge Summary

Welcome to the RUX - 72HR Factory on Demand Design Challenge

In this challenge we are looking for your help to create User interface design to help create a modern and intuitive web application that helps to create a "Factory on Demand" web portal, which will be the one-stop portal for:
- Client’s brand marketers
- Client’s enabling support teams
- Creative Agencies working for Client

You need create storyboard design that will solve client problems and required pages explained on challenge spec below.

What is a RUX Challenge?
The RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenge uses the same format as our famous LUX Challenge except it is not "Live" at an event. The RUX Challenge Series provides you with an opportunity to show digital leaders from some of the largest companies in the world just how good your concepting and user experience (UI/UX) design skills are.

RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenges are fast, fun, and have more chances for you to capture prize money!

Note: You do not need to have RUX challenge experience to join this challenge - Just jump in and give it a try! Make sure to follow the challenge details, the challenge forum and ask questions
For this RUX, we need you to develop the creative design for Factory on Demand portal.
The Factory on Demand portal will be the one-stop portal for
- Client’ brand marketers
- Client’s enabling support teams and
- Creative Agencies working for Client to interact with the Digital Content factory team set up by Wipro.

This Digital Content Factory team of Wipro helps Client in repurposing/ localizing/ translating/ validating/ producing content to run Client’s digital marketing campaigns across various channels (Email, Video, Banner, HCP portal, Microsite, iDetail, etc.).

Each of this activity: repurposing/ translation, etc. is treated as a project and the same will be initiated and tracked till conclusion on the Factory on Demand portal. A brief overview of the functionalities expected on the portal is as follows:

- For this RUX challenge submission you must create all “Screen” pointed on the Use Case below.

Use Case #1
Persona #1: New user (Client marketer – Brand Manager ) using the FOD portal for the first time
Click Flow:


a). User received Email from FOD with registration link

b). User Action: User clicks on link and lands on registration screen ( Screen 1 )

c). User uses Client single sign on credentials to register first time


d). User enters the portal
Landing page (home page) will have multiple tabs but with different views . The scope of this engagement to create only few views relevant to use case below ( Screen 2 ).
1). Projects ( new, existing closed)
2). Resources ( e.g. playbooks, templates, style guides)
3). Reports ( status of projects, site usage )
4). Service catalogue
- This section will cover the list of services offered like Banner, Campaign, and Web content Management etc. This page will also include types of engagement like (Full Service, Assisted Service and Self Service Models)
--- Full Service Model – This is a premium service and this  will have dedicated account manager with all collaboration tools.
--- Assisted Service Model – This service will have partially allocated account manager with collaboration tools. Ideal for mid-size engagements.
--- Self Service – This type of service will have collaboration tools enabled and there will not be any account manager assigned. This is ideal for simple and small size engagements.
5). Team resources
- This page will have type of resources and agencies details from different Geo locations and their key offerings.
6). Collaboration
- This page will have elements of collaboration tools like chat, Video conferencing and notifications
- It will also integrate with Yammer like platforms to maximize internal collaboration
7). Search feature
- Search feature will be provided to user to search the content to find the reusability of assets and content.  Also will help team to leverage past learning in similar engagements.
8). Help tab
- We want to demonstrate Virtual Assistant in this that can help you guide through the factory and can provide any help to the user.

e). User Action: Requesting a new project build (microsite) ( Screen 3 )
- Click on new project build request tab in Projects Button/Tab within landing page
- Template comes up requesting inputs on project:
--- Brand Name
--- Company division
--- Project size: Project size will be defined in terms of complexity, effort and dollars
--- Project type: Banner, Campaign, Social and Web content
--- Timeline
--- Region
--- Details of what’s needed e.g: Global Header, Global Navigation, Global Footer, 10 static pages - 4 utility pages (terms of use, site map, site ) - Analytics: KPIs (page visits, download, click, etc.) - onsite SEO: - Meta tags, alt text, etc. - Mobile awareness: - ipad and smartphones compatible
--- Submits request for pricing

f). User Action - Opens up price calculator screen ( Screen 4 )
- Pricing screen will have three options with radio buttons:
--- Full service ( with dedicated account manager )
--- Assisted service ( with partial support of account manager + automated interfaces)
--- Self Service ( fully automated interfaces)
- System will highlight Full service as recommended
- User clicks option 1 – Full service

g). User Action: Opens up into project submission screen ( Screen 5 )
- This screen will show:
--- Project costs details
--- Brand cost code to select
--- Timeline (in days)
--- Dedicated account manager name and contact details
--- Project code number
- Brand manager submits and gets a confirmation screen and Email that project has been accepted by factory

B). User Case #2
Persona 2: Digital Account Manager is responsible for managing the projects and is a registered user in Factory on Demand Portal. Every time the new projects get assigned, he / she will get an email notification from FOD.
Click Flow:
a). User Action – Account Manager will login to the FOD via single sign-on , account manager will land on home page with multiple tabs  ( Screen 6 )
- Projects Dashboard( new, existing closed)
- Resources ( e.g. playbooks, templates, style guides)
- Reports ( status of projects, site usage )
- Service catalogue
- Team resources
- Collaboration
- Search feature
- Help - We want to demonstrate Virtual Assistant in this that can help you guide through the factory and can provide any help to the user.
- Projects dashboard will highlight the project that’s been assigned recently.

b). User Action - Once account manager click’s on project icon, he will be presented with the details of the project.

c). User Action - Account manager will use the search feature, to check the projects that are of similar type and size to leverage the reusability factor and learning from past ( Screen 7)
- He will get search results with the few lines of overview and contact details.

d). User Action – Once account manager completes the search process then he would identify the number resources required  completing the engagement in timely manner (Screen 8)
- Account manager will select the project that was assigned from drop down (one account manager may have multiple projects based on model) and project details will be listed.
- Then account manager will type the resource requirement in textarea and submit the request.
- Example of resource request would be, Campaign designer in EU region and developer from offshore.

e). User Action - Account will review the status of the projects leveraging dashboard (Screen 9)

Responsive Tablet and Mobile Screen
- You need create Responsive Version for Tablet and Mobile Screen Size of the Landing Page.

Sitemap
- We also will require the Sitemap of your suggested flow on Text Format for both User case

Presentation Screen - 1920x1080 (16:9 Ratio)
- In a RUX challenge, this screen is the way to showcase your concept so keep it simple and make it look good!
- If you were walking into a meeting and needed to sell your idea - use this screen to showcase your concept.

- This is going to be developed as a responsive application on Desktop, Tablet and Mobile Screen Size
- Color Scheme: Follow client branding (Download from Challenge Forum)
- Font: Up to Designer
- Screen Sizes:
-- Desktop Standard: 1280px width and height as required
-- Tablet Portrait Retina: 1536px width and 2048px height
-- Mobile Portrait Retina: 750px width and 1336px height
- Digital Content Factory logo placeholder need displayed on page

Marvel Prototype
- We need you to upload your screens to Marvel App.
- Please send your Marvelapp request to lunarkid@copilots.topcoder.com
- You MUST include your Marvelapp URL (in your marvelapp prototype, click on share and then copy the link & share it within your notes/comment this link while you upload).

Judging Criterias
Your submission will be judged on the following criteria:
- Overall idea and execution of concepts
- Think about the accessibility and page flow
- Execution and thoughtfulness put into the solving the problem
- Overall design and user experience based on the persona
- Cleanliness of screen design and user flow

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
- All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as a layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file or Sketch!
- We also will require the Sitemap of your suggested flow on Text Format

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
