Welcome to the "RUX - 72HR Xsight Portal Redesign Challenge" In this challenge, we want to rethink, redesign and improve the UI/UX of the selected screens from Xsight Portal. These OSS modules are used to provide timely and accurate order status, shipping and reporting information. We are looking for design concepts and new ways to think about the user interface in this challenge, this portal must feel easy to use and look different than other similar industry websites. We are looking for your best ideas and concepts to WOW our customer!

What is a RUX Challenge?
The RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenge uses the same format as our famous LUX Challenge except it is not "Live" at an event. The RUX Challenge Series provides you with an opportunity to show digital leaders from some of the largest companies in the world just how good your concept and user experience (UI/UX) design skills are.

RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenges are fast, fun, and have more chances for you to capture prize money!

The goal of this challenge is to take the provided design problem, analyze the user experience and provide better design concepts and visual ideas on how the application might look and work!

RUX Challenge Timeline and Rolling Checkpoint

We are offering 5 Prizes Placements:

Background Overview
Xsight is a digital self-service portal offers access to xsight Big Data Analytic and APIs Services to help businesses outsmarting challenges with smart insight. With a trustworthy and up-to-date analytic and API access from xsight Group, xsight is confident to deliver the best for client’s need.

Challenge Goals
- The goal of this challenge is to improve the UI/UX of the current Xsight portal and make it more user friendly for both Desktop and Mobile devices.

Screen Requirements
For this challenge, we are looking for the below pages to be designed/considered in your concepts. The screen functionality details listed below are suggested functionality for consideration. Do not allow the suggestions below to impact the creativity of design. If there is a better way to accomplish the same goal, then feel free to take creative liberties.

1) Home Landing Page (Desktop and Mobile)

We are looking for new and creatives ways to rearrange the content on this page.

2) API (Desktop and Mobile)

This is the Key screen on this challenge.
We are looking for better ways to search, filter and find the APIs.
Do not copy the current theme and layout. We need to improve the full UX on this section.

3) Analytics (Desktop and Mobile)

Similar to APIs section, we need to revamp this full section, making the search and filter functionalities easier to use.

4) Insights (Desktop)

This section serves as a Knowledge center where users can find information related to Xsight services, APIs, documentation, testimonials.
Have in mind that this section can host different media like: videos, downloadables document and links to externals sites.

5) About Us / Internal Pages Layout (Desktop and Mobile)

We need you to provide a new layout for internal pages. For this challenge, please use the content showed on “About Us” section.
Make these internal pages looks completely new and modern, while still keeping the professional and clean look and feel.

6) Presentation Screen - 1920x1080 (16:9 Ratio)
- In a RUX challenge, this screen is the way to showcase your concept so keep it simple and make it look good!
- If you were walking into a meeting and needed to sell your idea - use this screen to showcase your concept.

Screen Sizes
This application is going to be developed as a Responsive Web Application:
- Desktop: 1366px width with Height adjusting accordingly
- Mobile: 750px width with Height adjusting accordingly

Design Branding
- Use color scheme from current website
- Font and Design Style: Open to Designers!
- This should be a professional looking application with an engaging and modern theme
- Think mobile first when designing

Marvel App Prototype
- We need you to upload your screens to Marvel App. Important!
- Please request your MarvelApp prototype link in forums. Use the correct thread to do that.

Judging Criteria
Your submission will be judged on the following criteria:
- Overall idea and execution of concepts
- How well does your design align with the objectives of the challenge
- Execution and thoughtfulness put into the solving the problem
- Overall design and user experience
- Cleanliness of screen design and user flow

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
- Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.
- Submit Marvel App for your design.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch!

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

SUBMISSION FORMAT:

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
