Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "FAST - Mobile Event Planner App Refinements Challenge". We recently completed a RUX Design Challenge to create initial design concepts for our new WIPRO Mobile Events Planner application to capture the "Event Attendee" experience. Now in this challenge, we are looking for you to continue improving and updating the Event Application user experience for "Attendees" which is very crucial to the success of this application. We will be providing you with the winning design(s) from the RUX challenge for your base design and to also integrate concepts from other placements.

Background Overview
We are designing and creating a new mobile corporate style Event Planner Application that is easy for Attendees to use and for Administrators to manage content. This application will be used to manage multiple events at the same time. There will also be integrations with 3rd party applications and services to help attendees with planning their trip/event. 

This event application will be used by 4 user roles:
- Event Participants/Attendees
- Speakers
- Admins (See other designs challenge for Admin)
- Site Coordinator (See other designs challenge for Admin)

For this challenge, we will focus on Event Participants/Attendees and Speakers roles which will use the mobile version of the app.

The following features are important (For Attendees):
- User is able to open the application and see a list of Events
- User is able to browse the list of events and see details about Events
- User is able to register for an event by logging in with SSO, custom ID or social media logins
- User is also able to log into the Wipro Events application at any time
- User registers and details are entered (food preference, travel location)
- User Event pass is created for the user 
- Registered user can view event schedule and other details of each event (Why attend, Agenda, Speakers’ profile, documents/ppts against the scheduled events/seminars which can be updated before and after the event) 
- User can provide Feedback for each event/seminar 
- Users can view/download photos

Challenge Goal
This challenge is focused on continuing and refining the "Attendee" experience for the Event Planner App and refining it based on our requested updates.

Screen Update Requirements
00) Splash Screen
- As the application opens please create simple splash screen design.
- See "01_Splash.png" as this is fun/cheerful. Note the screen will appear/disappear as the application is loading the Event Listing page.

01) Event Listings

User Flow/Requirements
- User will see a listing of possible events (Note: We would like to see a screen/scenario of multiple events and of just 1 event)
- Event List can be a "List" or "Expanded" 
- Event List will capture Event Title, Date, Location (Tapping into it will show Details)
- User can toggle between "Wipro Events" and "My Events" that they have registered for
- User is able to log in from this screen
- User is able to search from this screen
- User is able to filter when searching
- User is able to view Events and their details. They will be prompted to Register if they want to see more details
- User can see notifications if they have been invited to attend an event from an Admin

02) Register and Login

User Flow/Requirements
- Register: User will need to Register if they do not have an account
- Register: Capture the login error condition
- Register: Need a confirmation for success/fail on Registration
- Remove the "X" button in register and login form
- Login: User can login with their username/password

03) Preferences and Create Profile (Attendee and Speaker)

User Flow/Requirements
- When a user Registers they will be prompted to either update or create a profile.
- Very important to simplify this and not make it many taps… can it be 1-2 screens?
- Simplify the font usage and us Arial - only use the Wipro font if it makes sense for specific branding/headlines. This application will be rebranded for other companies to use.
- Profile data will capture:
-- Basic Information - Name (auto populated in case of Wipro employee), Contact number (auto populated in case of Wipro employee), Email address (auto populated in case of Wipro employee)
-- Business Information - Phone number, Role/designation, Business Unit.
- Selfie option to create profile pic
- Personalization Preference (food, room), might want to use icons instead of photos in this section
- User can skip the process and set the preferences later in user profile setting

04) Event & Session Details

User Flow/Requirements
- Once the user has Registered for an Event they will be able to see the Event Dashboard and list of navigation items for the Event/Sessions
- Should list out all the Sessions that the application user has marked as will be attending in each event
- Users can view results of engagement activities (scores, top scorers, leaderboards etc.)
- Should have the option of removing/not attending a session
- Should be able to drilled down and take a look at sessions within the event
- User should be able to mark events as favorite for future reference
- Download name badge/placard, User should be able to download name badge/placard

- Event Details
-- About the Event
-- Location of the event (maps integration)
-- Timing of the Event and all sessions
-- Listing of all Sessions/Daily Agenda
-- Listing of Sponsors/Exhibitors
-- List of Speakers and their details with contacts and picture of the speaker
-- List of Attendees - Show attendee list, with an option to drill down to the profiles of the attendees. And mail/chat option to conduct one on chat with attendees)
-- Pre-reads / Post reads with download option
-- Feedback - Add feedback on the session and speaker and an option to rate the session and speaker
-- Photos/videos/audios of the session both upload and download option. Users should be able to view the photos uploaded by participants/speaker/admin and upload their own. Think of it like an image gallery.
-- Notes: Notes option where the user can capture notes and also share their notes. 
-- Collaboration Wall: Session details/space for comments and discussion during a session. 
-- Polls/Survey/Quizzes: View and Interact with Poll /survey/Quizzes created in the event. (Show us how the Polls, Survey, and Quizzes appear in this screen)
-- Social Share: Share option (FB, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc) also should be available.

- Session Details
-- Registered user can view event schedule and other details of each event (Why attend, Agenda, Speakers’ profile, documents/ppts against the scheduled events/seminars which can be updated before and after the event)
-- List of Sessions on the event and ability to marked/registered for particular sessions
-- Location of the event (maps integration). Registered User can see the customized map of the event venue. 
-- Timing of the event and each session
-- Speaker details with contacts and picture of the speaker
-- Attendance (An option to mark your attendance, check-in option)
-- Show attendee list, with an option to drill down to the profiles of the attendees. And mail/chat option to conduct one on chat with attendees)
-- User should be easily looking at and show the event ticket/boarding pass to admin when entering the event.
-- "will be attending this session option." On clicking this, the session should be added to the myAgenda and should reflect on the calendar (Outlook/Gmail)
-- If the session is a breakout session, show the number of seats available and then give wait listing option in case the seats are overbooked. On clicking the waitlisting option, the app should notify the user when seats become available.
-- Sync the event with calendar
-- Social Share: Share option (FB, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc) also should be available.

05) Search & Filter
- Needs to see intuitive search and filter features. 
- User should be able to sort events on the basis of <registration date, event date>
- User should be able to filter events on the basis of <category, duration, mode of delivery (online/offline), registration date, event date, location, popularity>
- User should be able to search events on the basis of <location, popularity, event name, speaker name, date>
- Users can select events to attend and sync with calendar

06) Speaker Role
- Speaker needs to be able to upload presentation material in the event (via upload form), add some notes about the uploaded docs, etc.
- Speaker should be able to see attendees engagement, view analytics of the event result.  

07) Chat/Quiz/Poll 
- In each event details, there will be a polling, survey, and quizzes available where the user can participate and do interactions with it.
- These Polling, Survey, Quizzes purpose is to engage with the audience and gather feedback related the event.
- These features should be available and can be added in event details screen.  
- Show us how the polling, survey, and quizzes should look like before user participated in it.
- Show us the result of polling, survey, and quizzes and how it should look like once user finished participated in it.

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance
- Remember to mention your Marvel link in your notes/declaration document.

- Mobile: 750px x 1334px (@2x)
- This will be for both iOS and Android native mobile devices

- Stock artwork and icons are allowed for this challenge.
- Make sure to declare all your assets properly or you might fail screening.

- Overall idea and execution of your concepts
- How well you captured the features and needs of an Event Application
- Overall design and user experience
- Cleanliness of screen design and user flow

- Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch!

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
