Challenge Summary
1) Continue improving and refining the design with more "Wow" UI concepts.
- We will be providing you with the winning design(s) from the previous challenge to be used as your base reference/wireframe.
- The current UI designs feel safe and conservative so use them as your "wireframe" but create something completely new.
2) Create a new or different approach to the UI experience
- We are looking for a wide range of different UI approaches
- Think modern and futuristic approaches with great typography and color usage.
- Think about futuristic technologies like cognitive, AI bots etc.
We are looking for new ways to think about the user interface in this challenge (and for this industry). We recommend you do some research and think of different approaches to how this dashboard could look (and what modern or futuristic approaches could be used). We are also looking for more "Wow" and eye-catching visual approaches. This industry can be very stale/boring…so think beyond the industry (do not look at competitors in this space - think of other industries/design concepts)
Round 1
As many UI design updates and enhancements that you can complete for feedback- Show a Desktop, Tablet and Phone screens with your new UI

- 1. Dashboard (Desktop, Tablet, Phone)?
- 2. Services (Desktop, Tablet, Phone)??
Round 2
All Remaining screens (Desktop, Tablet, Phone) updated with your new UI enhancementsChallenge Details
This challenge is focused on an Insurance Agent Portal for small commercial insurance agents who typically leverage personal relationships and more manual processes over technology. We are looking to create an engaging and useful portal that helps the insurance agent communicate and close more business!
In this Enhancement Challenge, we want to concentrate more on the UI and explore more ideas, colors, typography, and technology that makes this portal stand out and be more engaging. We are looking to showcase your concepts to different people within the industry so looking for more exploration, creativity and not specific to a single brand.
User Story
Bob is an Insurance Agent who is 63 years old. He wants to quickly view his Agent Portal and see his day-to-day items but what he also needs to take action on or what information will help him close the latest deal. He would like the Agent Portal to be smart and informative as he is NOT very tech savvy so the experience should be more prescriptive not just descriptive (Prescriptive models tell the user what to do, actions to take, helps the user). Bob wants his dashboards to be more user-centric, action-oriented and more about quickly telling him the complete story.
Bob logs into his Agent Portal and views his dashboard which shows existing customers and any actions or attention they might need. The dashboard also shows new customer leads and any recommended actions. Bob is also able to see the agency related targets, his targets, commissions, and related tasks. He is able to contact customers, send them policy information and he can quickly create quotes based on their business and issues policies online. A vital part of the quote creation process is the ability for Bob to create quotes on his tablet when he is working with a customer in-person and able to intake their information and provide a quote on the spot.
Design Considerations
- The Agent Portal is Responsive. In each form factor, there might be more or less features based on how it needs to be used from phone to desktop.
-The UI design needs a more of a Wow factor (to showcase your ideas) to our potential customers.
- We are providing the designs from the previous challenge. This is a design enhancement challenge so we are looking to improve the results based on the requested enhancements.
