Challenge Overview

The purpose of this challenge is to create a common set of goals that are particular to people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), using the template provided in the forums.

Each goal will consist of the following:

Goal text: Text used to display the goal to the user
Influences that affect the goal: Items that influence the progress of the goal
Items that are affected by the goal: Items that a affected by the progress of the goal
Outcomes based on a user’s actions: Changes that occur as result of the progress of the goal.

As part of this challenge you will also need to document the sources for the information (Medical journals, databases, etc.) for each of the Goals, Influences, Items affected, and Outcomes. (Can be documented in the spreadsheet or provided in a references document)

An example goal could be:
Goal: Reduce your phosphorus intake
Influences: Limit intake of foods with high levels of phosphate or phosphate additives such as organ meats, whole grain breads, processed foods, cola beverages, cheese, dried beans, liver, peanut butter, dairy products and chocolate.
Items Affected: Levels of phosphorus buildup in blood.
Outcomes: A diet with no more than 800 mg of phosphorus can help reduce the risk of too much phosphorus building up in your blood.  

Since the requirements in this challenge are fairly unique so it will be judged by the co-pilot and the PM. All submissions will be judged on a scale of 1-10 based on the following criteria

50%-Accuracy of data & data sources with references
50%-Number of goals generated

There will be no appeals or appeals responses phases.

You are encouraged to ask questions in the forums as required for you to get a clear understanding of the deliverables in the forums.


Final Submission Guidelines

 
  • Spreadsheet of Goals with Influences, Items Affected, and Outcomes generated from template provided in the forums
  • References for all of the data collected (either in the provided template or a separate references document)
