Challenge Summary

Welcome to State Health Cloud - Healthcare App Design Concepts Challenge!

In this Challenge, we are looking for your design concepts for a web application that is focussed on “lung cancer”. We are looking to design a new system of health, organized by data that would be more like a platform to link “healthcare providers + payer (insurance) + patients” in one complete system of engagement, a complete loop. This should be an interesting challenge, take a look and let’s discuss in forums on any questions you have!

We are very excited to see your designs for this challenge.

~
Screen Thoughts:
We wanted to give you a rough idea on the screens but it is up to to your change as per the user functionalities

01 Login:
- The user will be able to enter their username and password to login into the app
- Please include all the necessary features that you think is useful for a login page
- Include a placeholder for the logo.

A. Doctors:
02 Doctor Dashboard:
- Show overall statistics (we are looking for your thoughts on what can be included)
- Should be able to show a list of patients assigned to them
- Should be able to see a list of tasks in the priority order, show us your ideas!
- Should show conversations with the patient
- Should include caregiver information: caregivers are family members who ensure that the patient follows the plan/treatment post discharge

03 Patient Profile
This page shows below modules:
- Include basic details about the patient.
- Data from EMR (Electronic medical record - This is a digital version of a chart with patient information stored in a computer and an EHR (electronic health record) is a digital record of health information.), you can find many examples for EMR online which you can use as a reference for content!
- Emergency connects (family members)
- Should give panoramic view (timeline) of patient history - last appointments, etc
- Vision is for the data to be pulled from multiple sources, including the current EMR, iPhone, IoT (say, for example, an asthma inhaler), and glucose monitors. The ideal scenario is interoperable and scalable, based on FHIR technology
- Conditions
- Medications
- Communication preferences (how should be appointment reminder need to be sent? etc)

04 View Appointments:
- Doctors should be able to view their appointments.
- Doctors can send information/ pre-visit questionnaire or reminders to patients.
- How should be put up? Note: we have a similar page for the patient as well..so look to keep this page consistent across the designs!

B. Patient:
05 Patient Dashboard:
- Think on how the patient dashboard need to look like?
- What need to be shown in this page?
- Their conversations with doctors, link to their own profile or medical record (links to a page similar to 03 patient profile), View appointments, follow ups, etc

06 View Hospitals and Doctors:
- This page could be utilized by anyone
- - Patient: To see his network of hospitals and doctors.
- - Payors: The insurance companies can see the patients network and can match whether the hospital or practitioner is covered under their health plan.
- Can view professional care network: Hospital, health plan etc

07 Pre-visit Summary:
- Patients should be able to fill up a pre-visit survey before visiting the hospital.
- View Health plan for payment issues.
- Should be able to connect with the doctor virtually, think about how the user will initiate this.

08 Data Collection:
- As a part of the application, we need to collect some data from the patients (please view the Google sheets shared in forums). This data collection can be filled by any of the users (patients, caregivers or doctors) and is filled at any stage of the treatment.
- Post analysis, insights are generated and Caregivers can give contextual advice based on data insights generated.
- This list is huge, so we want to capture some data automatically and make it a minimal manual data entry, looking forward to your design thoughts!

09 Capture Data from Wearables:
- We are looking to capture data from wearables. Health devices will be used to capture these data: Sleep data, Glucose data, BP, Pulse, Pill box data, Brushing Pattern, Nutritional intake, etc.
- Looking forward to your ideas on how to show these in your designs!

10 Notifications and its settings:
- Should we allow patients change the setting on what they should be notified about? (say for ex: Take the medicine at 9:00 AM, have more proteins in your lunch, any messages that were received, Appointment reminders, etc)

11 View Appointments:
- This is same as 04 View Appointments but from a patient's perspective.

12 Anything else?
- Please think through the concept and come up with ideas on what other pages will be required or will be useful for this application.
- We are open to your thoughts, think out of
the box!
