Welcome to "The Asor Collective - Logo and Branding Design Challenge". In this challenge, we need your creative thoughts to create a new logo and branding material for The Asor Collective, a company in the design (fashion) industry. The new logo will be used by The Asor Collective to distinguish itself from competition and become a recognizable icon in the fashion industry.

BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
At The Asor Collective, we help fashion entrepreneurs strengthen their brand, product & services while developing strategies and creating operational efficiencies to consistently develop and grow their business on their path to sustainability. 

The goal is to develop a logo and branding material that will stand out for our company that is already in the design (fashion) industry. The branding logo and marketing material will be used for public facing websites, letterhead, and other branding material. It will be used by The Asor Collective to distinguish itself from competition and become a recognizable icon in the fashion industry.

CHALLENGE GOAL
Develop a branding stack including logo, favicon, letterhead designs along with a branding promo pack and branding guideline marketing asset. The designs are for The Asor Collective, a startup in the fashion industry.

We act as a consultant and mentor to Fashion Entrepreneurs focused on sustainable fashion and adopting sustainable business practices. Our areas of focus are in Leadership, Design Operations, Creative Operations and Visual Merchandising. It is important to mention that our work is grounded in empathy which allows us to see challenges and opportunities others often miss. Listening is just as powerful as being heard. While we are extremely quality minded and agile, we don't have a type 'A' personality. - Circular Fashion is defined as clothes, shoes or accessories that are designed, sourced, produced and provided with the intention to be used and circulate responsibly and effectively in society for as long as possible in their most valuable form, and hereafter return safely to the biosphere when no longer of use.

"The ASOR Collective" LOGO CONSIDERATIONS
- Create the logo as "Combo mark" type logo (see here to see logo type variations)
- The logo needs to be relatable with "Fashion entrepreneurs" audiences (Both Female and Male)
- In the Combo Mark logo creation, we would like you to know that you have the option of using "The Asor Collective", "Asor Collective" or "Asor" text in the Combo Mark logo design.
- Consider these phrases when creating the logo: soft feminine, stylish, simple/modern, authentic, professional, honest and experienced focused on sustainability and responsible business practices
- The logo needs to consider how it can be fit into any potential male customers (even though the customer majority will be female)

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO IN THIS CHALLENGE:
1. Create new logo for "The Asor Collective" using illustrator or sketch (vector tools). 
2. Create the logo in "Full Color" AND "Black and White" versions
3. Create an outlined version of your logo
4. Showcase your new "The Asor Collective" logo in Black and White background
5. Create a branding guideline marketing asset document (PDF) that explain about your Logo creation, including:
- Colors schemes for the logo
- Concept behind the logo creation
- Minimum and Maximum size for the logo
- Font that you use in the logo 
- How the logo will look like in various position (for example, as a header in mobile app, in a poster, in a promotional banner for social media, etc)
- Logo variation (for example, the logo converted as Favicon in browser, See here for logo to favicon example)  
- How the logo will looks like in several background variation (different background colors, behind image, etc)
- Showcase the logo in several mockups (T-shirt, Letterhead, App Mockup, etc) that relatable for fashion industry, more mockup sample is better.

FONTS and COLORS
- Fonts are open to designers, make sure to check our design consideration first to find out the perfect and balance font for the logo
- Colors need to be soft and feminine in feel. Please refer to the mood board in the design consideration section to see colors variation and references for the logo.

Explore some logo design inspiration websites, look for simple images or typography that convey a sense of fashion industry company. A good logo should be; simple, distinctive, relevant, memorable, timeless, and versatile - and most importantly your own design. Use these references as inspirations only.

TARGET AUDIENCE
- The users of the logo and branding material will be The Asor Collective.  
- The branding material may be also be used by The Asor Collective partners and associates (e.g. press releases).  
- The branding material will need to be distinctive in an industry that is in design (fashion).

JUDGING CRITERIA
Your submission will be judged on the following criteria:
- Relevance:  How does your logo "fit" into the brand? As in, the brand of as a whole: the design fashion industry, the client/customer, the competitors, the prestige, the excitement, etc. This is very important.
- Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional and clean? Is the composition/layout well done? Have you used typography in a meaningful way?
- Concept: Does your logo present a new and interesting concept? Is it simple, yet memorable?
- Presentation: How does your logo displayed in various of mockup?

FINAL DELIVERABLES
Preview Image
Create a preview image as one (1) 1024px by 1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
- Create/Export a JPG/PNG image file(s) of your logo and branding creation submission
- The PDF branding guideline marketing asset document (to explain and showcase your logo)
- Place those image files into a "Submission.zip" file.

Source Files
- All source files of all graphics created in vector format in either Adobe Illustrator or any similar software should be saved as editable files. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.

- Your source files must meet these requirements:

FINAL FIX
If your submission wins, you may be asked to modify your design, graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.

  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
