Background Information
We need to design the new interfaces and user flows for a single sign-on and portal experience based on Salesforce Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) solution. Since header and footer navigation is also part of this experience, we want to take the opportunity to standardize where possible too. Current corporate website navigation and experience will be your main guideline for content reference.
Things to consider before starting to design - Important
- Your designs must leverage standard Salesforce CIAM template configurations. This is important and it is the key for this challenge. Here you will find more information about the CIAM template:

- The following fixes were not implemented on wireframes, but you must include them on your UI design.
- Add Portal link in the User dropdown menu.
- Remove the header from the SSO page.
- Remove the header from the Product Portal page. Only include the User dropdown menu.

Required Screens / Functionalities
00 Headers (Desktop and Mobile)
00.1 Website Header
- Use the existing website header design.
- Support existing website header functionality and including the following functionality:
- Support the ability to login to the user’s account using Single Sign-On.
- Support the ability to navigate to the user’s Account Settings and Portal once signed in.
00.2 Community Header
- Provide an updated design for the header of Community. It should be consistent with the design and experience for the corporate website. It should include the follow functionality:
- Support existing Community header functionality (e.g. Home, Topics, Downloads, Support Platforms and More).
- Support the ability to login to the user’s account using Single Sign-On.
- Support the ability to navigate to the user’s Account Settings and Portal once signed in.
00.3 Software Download Site Header
- Provide an updated design for the header of the Software Download Site. It should be consistent with the design and experience for the corporate website. It should include the follow functionality:
- Support only the "Support & Services" link in te header.
- Support the ability to login to the user’s account using Single Sign-On.
- Support the ability to navigate to the user’s Account Settings and Portal once signed in.
00.4 Web App Header
- Use the existing Web App header design (example in forum).
- Support existing header functionality in place and include the following functionality:
- Support the ability to navigate to the user’s Account Settings and Portal once signed in.
An example of the Web App header can be found in the Style Guide that is in the challenge forums (NDA required).
01 Single Sign-On form screen (Desktop and Mobile)
- Provide a new design for the single sign-on screen that is based on the Salesforce Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) solution.
a. Provide the ability for an existing user to login using Email Address and Password.
b. Provide the ability for a new user to create an account.
c. Provide the ability for users to reset their password if they forgot it.
d. Allow access to platform using customer’s existing social networking accounts (e.g. LinkedIn, Google+, Facebook, Github)
03 New user screen (Desktop and Mobile)
This form screen will be used to register new users to the portal
Request the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Password
- Company
04 Logged in user product portal screen (Desktop and Mobile)
- Display a portal with product offerings that a user has access to such as Community, Software Download Site, and Web App.
- User can click on a product to access it directly.
05 Account Settings Screen (Desktop and Mobile)
Allow the user to update account contact information including:
- Name, Phone Number, and Email Address.
- Allow the user to update account password.

- As this is a NDA challenge, all documentation will be provided in forum once you register to this challenge.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.
Review
The submissions will be scored by Actian team, and the winners will be selected in Actian's sole discretion. There will be no appeals or appeals responses.
