Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "48hr UX Testing - NWL Meeting Mobile App". In this challenge, we are looking to do some quick UX/ Usability testing on a recently designed application. Make sure you are reading the challenge rules and steps carefully. Ask any questions in the forum and good luck!
UX Testing is a new challenge type at Topcoder and is open to anyone, not just designers. We are looking to get real-world testing on the usability of the designed application. It's important to note that this is a not fully functional application, but rather a design prototype. Because of this, we are not looking to test quality or the underlying code like our normal QA testing, but rather the general user experience. We are looking to gather some quick metrics and data and identify any potential issues early in the design process. The help with the UX testing we are using a 3rd party platform called Maze. The testing procedure and what they call "missions" will be completed on their platform. We still require you to submit to this challenge as proof of completion.

This challenge is open to the first 25 members to successfully complete the testing. Please read the challenge rules and process below carefully.

Challenge Process
Because we are using a 3rd party platform for this challenge, the process is different than our normal challenges. However, if you are familiar with working on challenges that involve Gitlab/ Github, the concept will be somewhat familiar.
  1. Register for the challenge
  2. Request a testing URL in the challenge forum. We will post on the forum once all 25 placements have been reached, at which point no additional testing URLs will be sent out.
  3. A unique testing URL will be sent to you via email (the email you registered to Topcoder with). Make sure you are ONLY using this unique URL to complete your testing
  4. This unique URL will guide you to Maze and open up your unique testing "missions" or tests. Maze is really user friendly and will guide you through the process.
  5. Use Maze to go through each testing scenario. You MUST complete all testing scenarios in one sitting. You can NOT start the testing and then resume later. The test should not take more than 30 minutes to complete.
  6. Once you are finished with the tests you will land on a completion screen. This screen is your "submission" for the challenge. Take a screenshot of this screen and upload it. This step is VERY IMPORTANT to make sure we are aware that you completed the challenge and testing.

Challenge Rules
  1. You are only allowed to complete the testing once
  2. Take the testing seriously. We will be monitoring each tester for completeness.
  3. Do not try to complete the test as quickly as possible. You are not being evaluated on speed. We need real-world data, so make sure you are reading each test carefully and then moving through the application in how you think you would complete the test. Remember we are testing the usability and user flows the application
  4. Do not try to cheat by randomly clicking around the screens until something works. We will be monitoring for this type of behavior and you will be ineligible for a prize if you participate in this manner
  5. The first 25 participants to successfully complete the test will receive a $10 payment
