Welcome to “Ideation Mobile App UI Design Challenge”. In this challenge, we are looking to conceptualize the UI for a native mobile application that will be used to submit, search and vote ideas by sales associates of the company.

Challenge Description
The purpose of this mobile application is to allow our Client’s sales associates, to submit ideas using text, photos, videos and audio; search through all ideas to up/down vote them.

This will be a native application for both iOS and Android OS; however you will be only focused on the iOS device on this challenge. Have in mind that your design concepts should be able to work smoothly on both environments.

Things to think about
- We are looking for a nice clean, modern and easy experience. A user needs to be able to easily understand how to use this app.
- Do not propose and design more features than the ones asked on this challenge.
- Your design must work and feel on brand. So work and use the color palette only. Do not reinvent colors. (See branding section on this requirements page for reference).
- Provide your design in a narrative workflow, this means that your images must have a correct order telling a story: Registration, Login, Ideas Submission, etc.
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.

Required Screens/Functionalities
1- Registration / Login

- This app will be used by sales associates using the company email address only. Add the following fields:
- Full Name
- Company email (Domain not editable, so use “@companyemail.com” for domain sample).
- Password
- Create a simple login that allows users access the application. (email, password, remember me, forgot password)
- Do not use social media login on this application.
- Show how the error messages/alerts should work.

2) Home Dashboard & Ideas Submissions
- After a successfully login, users get directed to a “Dashboard” looks like homepage.  This page will be the launching point to submit new ideas.
- This “Home Dashboard” page should list:
- All ideas, recently submitted ideas and view most Up-voted ideas.
- These 3 following features should be easily accessible from "Home Dashboard"

2.1) Submit Ideas Feature
- Need a visible, modern and attractive way to start submitting ideas.
- Users can submit their ideas using texts, photos, videos and audio.
- Every idea must have a Tag/Category.

2.2) Ideas Search Feature
- Users should be able to search through the ideas.
- Filter by Tag/Category
- Filter by most voted.

2.3) Ideas Votes Feature
- After Searching the ideas, users can select one to see the details and must be able to easily  vote UP/Down the Ideas.

3) Idea Detail View
- Users can view the detail of an idea by selecting one from the Home Dashboard or the search results.
- From here, users must be able to reproduce the video, view the photos, listen the audio, read the text.
- Also show the overall Up/Down votation.

4) Help / FAQ
- We need a section where App users can find the most frequently questions with answers, related to: How to use the app, what kind of ideas, how to vote, how to filter, etc.
- Keep this high level. The final questions and answers will be replaced later.

5) Contact Administrator for Help
- Users should be able to contact an administrator for help/assistance.
- The contact can be a chat style feature.

6) Admin Download
- Allow an administrator to bulk download all ideas through email.
- Only Administrators users can access this feature.

App Name
- For this challenge use the App Name “Ideation App”. You can add a simple logo for this.
- We are not asking to design a logo for this application. So do not lose time on this. Use a placeholder or the name above.

Branding
- Use the following colors only. Do not reinvent colors.

- Font is open to designer. Please use "Sans Serif" fonts.

Softwares and Stocks Icons
- You can design your artwork using Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / XD or Sketch
- You can use stocks icons and photos from the allowed sites. Remember to declare them.

Screen Sizes:
- This will be an native iOS and Android application. For this challenge you will be focused on working for iphones standard devices sizes:
Design for iPhone 6/7/8: 750px by 1334px width.
Height can be increased if needed.

Target Audience:
- The application will be used by our Client’s sales associates.

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the interactive experience and capture your ideas and experience visually.
- Overall design, UI and user experience.

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit Desktop PNG/JPG Screens. PSD source files

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as a layered PSD file, Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
