Challenge Summary

Welcome to "TCO18 Final 'Capture The Spirit' Poster Design FUN Challenge". In this challenge, we are looking for you to comes up and visualize your feeling about TCO18 Final and show/express it to us in a poster media format. This is a FUN challenge with branded and rare Topcoder T-shirt prizes available for the best poster submissions! We will send out 5 T-Shirts for every 10 design submissions submitted into the challenge.

Background Overview
TCO18 Final will comes in less than 2 Month and we want to see your feeling about this BIG EVENT!

For this challenge, we are asking you to create a poster (any type of poster, typography, photos, illustration, etc) in a meaningful way that able to captures and express your feeling about TCO18 final!  Your design can be as simple as a message about TCO18, your hope for the finalists, to more complex as maybe make a visualization about your dream about the perfect TCO final, in short, anything that reflect your thoughts about TCO final! 

The exploration is really open (the sky is the limit) and the only thing we ask you to follow is to keep this related to TCO18 Final that will be held in Dallas this year.

The posters will be selected by the Topcoder Community Internal Team and the best one (5 T-Shirt every 10 Design Submissions) will win a T-Shirt.

This is your chance to get your design skills presented in the most prestigious IT event because we are going to showcase your design (with your handle beside it) to all TCO18 attendees. 
 
Use the following examples as the inspiration of what you could do, but don't copy them:
 
Think about how to use any photo, fonts, illustration, icons, etc to achieve a great result. The designs can have a 3D look or a 2D look or they can be combined with photos in a clever way like here. We're expecting to be amazed!

We're going to print the best top posters and display them at the TCO18 final event in Dallas, so many of you will have the chance to see your poster viewed on a large scale by TCO18 finalist, admin, and the sponsor!
 
Note:
You are allowed to submit an unlimited number of poster design. If you have more than 1 design or variation, please separate them in a new submission.
 
Stock Artwork & Icons
- Stock photos are allowed for this challenge
- Make sure to declare all your assets properly or you might fail screening
 
Target Devices
- Web: 595px x 842px @72 dpi  (RGB mode, for your design submission)
- Print: A3 poster 11.7 inch x 16.5 inch @300 dpi (CMYK mode, if your submission selected as the winner, you need to provide your poster in this format as final deliverables)

Submission and Source Deliverables
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place your submissions within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections.
 
Submission File
All requested Contest Deliverables in JPG or PNG file format in RGB color mode at 72dpi.
 
Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be delivered in AI, EPS, PSD or Sketch format. Layers should be named and well organized.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

Screening:

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
