Challenge Summary

Welcome to "Vaccines Mapping Power BI Dviz Design Concepts Challenge". In this challenge, we are looking to explore design concepts for a new Data Visualization Dashboard that will be implemented using "Microsoft Power BI". In this challenge, we are going to design the Data Visualization experience to be used by a healthcare company.

We recommend you to start by digging into data visualization design best practices, research Microsoft Power BI and think about cool & creative ways to provide data visualization experiences.

We are really excited to kick off this new DViz Design Concepts Challenge.

Round 1

Submit your initial designs for a checkpoint feedback
1. Dashboard
2. Configure page

- As a part of your checkpoint submission, you must upload your submission to MarvelApp so we can provide direct feedback on your designs.
- Make sure to include a URL/comment the link to your marvelapp while uploading your submission
- Make sure all pages have correct flow! Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03)

Round 2

Submit your final designs with all checkpoint feedback implemented.
1. Dashboard
2. Reports

In this challenge, we are looking to design creative (and useful) data visualization dashboards that will make it easier for the respective users to help find/identify from where the greatest value could come from:
- By targeting college freshman and the knowing what Universities mandate Seasonal Flu Vaccines.
- If not mandated, and only recommended, it would be helpful to know which Universities to target.

Background:
The customer is a global healthcare company, they research, develop and manufacture medicines, vaccines, and consumer healthcare products. The purpose of this project to help find the universities and colleges that have the mandatory Seasonal Flu vaccination and also find universities/colleges that just recommend it.

Design Considerations
- We are looking for simple, easy-to-use, Informative, modern design.
- Try not to have too much information on your dashboard, you can make them compelling by making the visualization interactive and enable users to walk through or drill into the different insights.
- Use color, visual comparison, and drill-down charts to highlight comparison.
- Have your designs of size: 1366 x 768px (Desktop only, Power BI is responsive by nature so just need to design/ build once)

Branding Guidelines
- We have provided the branding guidelines, please use them! (please see forums)
- Needs to follow Power BI Design Best Practices and also take a look at the Design Tips
- Please do some research on the Power BI software and get familiar with its purpose, limitations, and what's possible.

Required Dashboard Designs
To increase immunization coverage for the Seasonal Flu vaccine in the US, the client has conducted a survey and would like to visualize it in a dashboard. We will be using Power BI to create the dashboard visualizations.

01 Dashboard:
General Dashboard Features:
- Include filters to allow users to drill-down or view data at a granular level
- Do you think, the search will help here.
- Do you think options to export, download would help?
- Come up with ideas that will allow users to interact with the visualizations
- Provide a way for the user to drill-down.
- What other features might help, we are open to your thoughts!

Main Dashboard:
Below questions will be answered by looking at the dashboard visualization, so come up with ideas on what sections/visuals need to be put up to help the user find a reply to these questions:
1. Identify all Colleges/Universities in the US that either “Recommend” or “Require” Seasonal Flu Vaccine.
2. Per College/ University that is identified to either “Require” or “Recommend” Seasonal Flu vaccine, what states/ cities do the bulk of the student population come from?
3. Out of the universities that “Require” or “Recommend” Seasonal Flu vaccination what efforts does the school take to ensure series completion?
4. Does the school provide direction on where to get vaccinated and complete series? (example: Local HCP (near home), Retail, Student Health services).
5. Out of the schools that “Require” or “Recommend”  is there a specific vaccine that they prefer?

02 Reports
- This page will show the report of the data that were collected Eg. List of colleges, list of Seasonal flu vaccines, recommended in that college etc.
- Any errors that were encountered/show the issues.
- Any filters that will allow the user to change the time period.
- We are open to your to your thoughts.

03 Configuration:
- This page allows the user to configure the Dashboard
- Allows the user to add a list of colleges in a State, and list of Seasonal Flu vaccines that need to be checked in each college, etc
- List of Seasonal Flu vaccines that are mandatory or that are preferred etc
- Turn ON/OFF for particular college/university/state

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance.
- Focus on User Experience / how the user interacts within the dashboard.
