Hestia BI & Analytics Logo Design Challenge

Welcome to the Hestia BI & Analytics Logo Design Challenge!

The goal of this competition is to create a logo that recognizes the BI business division within Hestia. The Hestia Business Information (BI) Division is an internal facing group that manages reporting, data analysis and metrics of all their business groups. The new name for the group is Hestia Business Intelligence and Analytics. In this challenge, we are looking for a new logo that follows and complements the existing Hestia logo family.

The logo you create will be used to represent the Hestia Business Intelligence and Analytics team and help showcase that any BI documents, dashboards, or Analytics that is shared from this team is official and certified as Hestia BI and Analytics.

Initial design for a Checkpoint Feedback:

Final Design plus Checkpoint Updates:
1.    Hestia BI & Analytics Logo(use the TEMPLATE) with all checkpoint feedback implemented

Business Information is a broad category of applications and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions. BI applications include the activities of decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP), statistical analysis, forecasting, and data mining.

The goal of this contest is to design a logo for the Business Information team within Hestia, that will be used to show "official" Hestia analytics and data. You can think of it as a “stamp of approval” logo, which proves the authenticity and origin of data, wherever is displayed.

Logo Requirements

• We are looking for something unique and easy to recognize
• We previously ran a logo challenge to create an older Hestia Business Information logo – We are providing that as guidance on how to use the main logo but are looking for a completely new/updated/modernized approach to the other elements. The provided Hestia BI logo is just for reference – DO NOT COPY/ reuse (check attached files).
• The logo should contain the company’s name as attached in the documentation and should belong to the same logo “family”.
• “Business Intelligence and Analytics” can be changed to ”BI & Analytics” or ”Business Intelligence & Analytics” etc. What fits with your idea?
• The existing Hestia logo should remain untouched (you should not stretch or change it in any way)
• We are also looking for an additional icon/symbol to be created that helps show the BI&A mark or represents the certification theme.
• Color should match with Hestia Primary and Secondary Color. Refer to Primary Colors and Secondary Colors guideline in the attachments.
• Fonts are open to the designer, no need to match them the current logo.
• The logo will be used across our digital platforms (Power BI Dashboards,  email signature, other data files, BI Application icon) so it should look good on both small and big sizes
• The user should grasp the message of the logo design within three seconds of the first glimpse.
• Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.
• Submit your design within provided logo template (LogoTemplate.eps)
• Show us how your logo looks when placed on the Power BI dashboard
• You need make sure your logo looks good on both light and dark background, in colored as well as black & white version.

Target Audience

• Hestia Employees (The immediate BI team should be proud of the logo. It will also be used to showcase analytics to the management team.)

Judging Criteria

• Relevance: How does your logo convey the BI and Analytics part of the business?
• Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional and clean? Is the composition/layout well done? Have you used typography in a meaningful way?
• Concept: Does your icon present a new and interesting concept?

 
Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

• Create a preview image as one (1) 1024px by 1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File

• Create/Export a JPG/PNG image file(s) of your logo and branding creation submission
• Place those image files into a "Submission.zip" file.

Source Files

• All source files of all graphics created in vector format in either Adobe Illustrator or any similar software should be saved as editable files. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
• Your source files must meet these requirements:
  • The AI/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined)
  • The AI/EPS logo file with text in an outlined format

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.
