Challenge Summary

Welcome to the TigerDViz Executive Dashboard Tableau Design Concepts Challenge!

In this challenge, we are looking to design an executive dashboard for tracking Contingent Staff Performance. This is done by capturing and visualizing all the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of monthly contingent staffing data that will be fetched from multiple sources (databases).

This Data Visualization executive dashboard will eventually be implemented on the Tableau platform. This first challenge is only to design the DViz dashboard experience and focusing on a great Tableau experience.

I am really excited to kick off this challenge and continuing the Topcoder focus on creating great data visualization experiences.

Round 1

Submit your initial designs for a checkpoint feedback

- As a part of your checkpoint submission, you must upload your submission to MarvelApp so we can provide direct feedback on your designs.
- Make sure to include a URL/comment the link to your marvelapp while uploading your submission
- Make sure all pages have correct flow! Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03)

Round 2

Submit your final designs with all checkpoint feedback implemented.

We are looking to design a creative (and useful) data visualization dashboard that will make it easier for our users to see their data and take action with their data. This challenge is focused on designing dashboards for the Tableau platform.

What is Contingent Staffing?
A contingent workforce is a labor pool whose members are hired by an organization on an on-demand basis. A contingent workforce consists of freelancers, independent contractors, and consultants who are not on the company's payroll because they are not full-time employees of the organization.

Design Considerations:
- We are looking for modern designs (think FLAT, futuristic).
- Try not to have too much information on your dashboard, you can make them compelling by making the visualization interactive and enable users to walk through the different insights.
- Please go through the Tableau guidelines to understand to what extent a design can be implemented in the Tableau.
- We are providing some sample data, which you can use in your designs.
- Use color, visual comparison, and drill-down charts to highlight comparison.
- Have your designs of size: 1366 x 768px (desktop) and 750 x 1334px (mobile)
- We also want you to show how the dashboard would look like in mobile for 1 or 2 screens. NOTE: This is optional as the main focus is on the tableau desktop

Branding Guidelines:
- Please use the provided branding guidelines for referencing the colors

Required Dashboard Designs:
Below is the list of dashboards that need to be designed...

00 General:
- Overall think through the provided requirements for the dashboards and come up with meaningful designs for the dashboards.
- Need to think on how to layout out the filters, search (if necessary), etc
- Take a look at the features of tableau/look to incorporate features that you think would be useful.

Executive Dashboard
01 Overall Statistics (Desktop and Mobile):
- This shows the overall statistics of the Contingent Staff Performance
- Show the below statistics and program KPI’s

Spend (Invoiced):
- Need to show the amount spent on the contingent staff
- Show the comparison of YTD vs current month
- Also, show the percentage spent on the labor and expenses

Position Statistics:
Show the comparison of YTD vs current month, for both these, we will be using below data to bring about a comparison
- Show counts for New Starts
- Show Percentage for % Comp Bid (Competitive Bid)
- Show Avg Daily HC (Head Count)

Program Savings:
- What is the amount saved by hiring contingent staff
- Show the savings for YTD, what is the Target and how much percentage has been saved.

Tenure:
Tenure is the amount of time a contractor has been working with the company. Tiger can only keep contractors for less than 12 months to remain within the Co-Employment and Independent Contractor Compliance laws
- Show the Status, months and number of resources
- The status will be “At Risk, Nearing Risk, Low Risk, No Risk”

Rate Card Savings:
Show the comparison of YTD Vs current month, for both these, we will be using below data to bring about a comparison
- Rate Card enforcement, Competitive Bid Savings, Negotiated Savings
- For each of the above, we will be showing the amount in dollars ($)

Program KPI’s
- Competitive - % of Max Bill Rate
- Non Competitive - % of Max Bill Rate
- Lost Savings Opportunity (in dollars $)
- Average Time to Fill (days)
- Diversity Spend

Option to Choose Date Range:
- The user will be able to choose a date range or select a quick date range like a week, month, YTD, etc

02 Top 5:
In this dashboard, we need to show the below:
- Top 5 Suppliers (Supplier is referring to staffing centers/agencies that provide the company with potential candidates)
- Top 5 Positions placed (This is referring to the total amount spent for each of those categories of contractor positions)
- Top 5 Cost Centers (Cost Centers are the departments within the company, and is referring to the amount of money that each of those departments spent on contractors.)
- Tenure Risk Profile
- Avg Time to Fill (in days)
