Welcome to Fun Challenge for Manual Testing on AWS Device Farm. This is a fun challenge for learning manual testing on AWS Device Farm by running one of the product application. This would be good opportunity for you to learn AWS Device Farm and will help you participate in future challenges.

Note: The challenge prizes indicated is total challenge prize amount. There are 10 simple test cases having prize amount $10 each. The review will be subjective and internal. The best submission on each test case will be selected as winner. So one contestant may win more than one prize.

Challenge Objectives

This is fun challenge for manual testing on AWS Device Farm. This would be good opportunity for you to learn AWS Device Farm. The goal of this challenge is to understand, if AWS is a good fit and adoptable by getting community feedback.

Project Background

This is a Structured Test Case Execution Project for one of the product application and there will be having series of challenges for every week to execute provided Test Cases.

Challenge Requirements

We want to leverage the cloud devices provided on AWS Device Farm to open the opportunities to all community members and we will provide you with accounts to use them. Manual Test Case Execution should be performed on 10 simple test cases provided in forum. The required document details are available in forum, so please register the challenge to access the forum.

Devices in Scope:

We will target on iPhones only in this challenge, please choose the model only in below list when you are testing on the AWS Device Farm.

• iPhone 7 (10.3.2+)
• iPhone 6s+ (10.3.2+)
• iPhone 5s (10.3.2+)
• iPhone 6 (10.2.1+)

Note: The test cases involve the setup on the web of the products, so you may leverage the cloud device's safari browser to do the setup operations.

Additional Rules:

• It is not mandatory to submit all 10 test cases, but you need to submit atleast one test case to win the prize.
• You need to submit AWS Device Farm recorded videos to win the prize.
• Your submission must be complete as per the submission guidelines provided below.

Final Submission Guidelines

In your submission package, for each test case you have executed, you should have a folder with that Test Case ID as the name and put below items into it:

• Video Recording including your browsers
  • You need to use another software to record your browser with the cloud device
  • Upload to your google drive and share the link
• Video Recording downloaded from device farm after you finish the test case
  • This video can be downloaded directly from AWS Device Farm
  • Upload to your google drive and share the link
• ExecutionReport.txt: (The execution summary for the test case in below format)
  • Test Case ID: <ID>
  • Video URL: <URL>
  • Device Model and OS Version: <Device Model>, <OS Version>
  • Steps: (example test result)
    • 1. Pass
    • 2. Fail (Expected: ..., Actual: ...)
    • 3. Block (Reason: ...)
    • 4. Pass
    • 5. Pass

Important Notes:

• You need to submit complete document as mentioned above to get paid.
• Don't use youtube or public shared location for uploading your videos.
