About the Client:
The client of this challenge is one of huge bank handling many clients across the world. In this challenge, we are looking to design creative (and useful) data visualization dashboards that will be created using Qlik Sense.
Design Considerations
- We are looking for a simple, easy-to-use, Informative, modern design.
- Try not to have too much information on your dashboard, you can make them compelling by making the visualization interactive and enable users to walk through or drill into the different insights.
- Use color, visual comparison, and drill-down charts to highlight comparison.
- Have your designs of size: 1366 x 768px
- Branding is open to the designers
Qlik Sense:
Please go through the software and check the features to know the limitations of the BI tool and design accordingly. We have gathered some resources:
- Getting Started
- Demo of some visualizations
Required Dashboard Designs
01 General
Below are some of the points that need to be considered
- Each of the dashboards requested below requires only 5 - 6 of the KPIs for each screen.
- Show the KPIs over time (monthly, quarterly, year.on.year. - this year month vs last year same month).
- Allow filtering based on locations.
- Allow for a way to look at KPIs based on regions and countries.
- Allow for a way to make correlations to industries. Example: Are oil prices down? And how does that affect the KPIs?
- It would be really useful if we can show how the local stock market is affecting the KPIs, is it swinging up or down?
- Include a "What if?" analysis. For example, I have a $100 billion loan portfolio and my benchmark is $150 billion for the end of the year. How many loans should I book per month and average per loan?
- Whats my growth of loans/deposit?
- What am I getting out of this product
- Which is my profitable product?
- Who is the top RM / Location level?
- We have shared some definitions of the KPI in the attached excel, it will help you understand what is expected in each visualization.
02 Homepage
This is the starting point for all analysis. This would be a page where the CFO and Heads can navigate to different sections of interest to them.
03 CFO KPI’s (choose only 5 - 6 KPIs)
- Show the top 10 customers, depositors, and borrowers. Be able to pull up their growth details and compare them with the bank's growth. For example, let's assume Acme is a customer with the bank, the user should be able to access information like how Acme is doing in each of its own financials. If Acme is growing, but the bank is not, the user can analyze this information and will help the CFO initiate a discussion with an appropriate person to check if the right products are being sold.
- KPI’s represented in CFO dashboard would be a derivative of Corporate and Retail KPI’s but we have indicated some of the KPI’s that a CFO is concerned about, we are looking for your thoughts on how these can be represented in a visualization?
