The client of this challenge sends out monthly cession statements to their customers in the Auto Dealer space. Currently, these reports are not user-friendly and difficult to follow. So, we are looking for a solution from the topcoder design community in providing us design concepts for a Cession Report that are user-friendly
Glossary of Terms Meaning
To help you understand a few terms that were used across the spec
- Cession Statements: A periodic statement of subject premiums and the losses and expenses incurred under the reinsured policies, provided by the ceding company to a reinsurer.
- Reinsurer is an insurance company that insures the risks of other insurance companies.
- Cedant is an insurer who transfers all or part of a risk to a reinsurer. The reinsurer covers all the insurance policies coming within the scope of the reinsurance contract.
- IBNR: Incurred but not reported (IBNR) claims is the amount owed by an insurer to all valid claimants who have had a covered loss but have not yet reported it. Since the insurer knows neither how many of these losses have occurred, nor the severity of each loss, IBNR is necessarily an estimate
Design Considerations
- We are looking for a simple, easy-to-use, Informative, modern design.
- Try not to have too much information on your dashboard, you can make them compelling by making the visualization and enable users to walk through.
- Use color, visual comparison
- Have your designs of size: 1366 x 768px
- Branding is open to the designers
Required Dashboard Designs
We have shared sample reports that are in the current format and as you can see it doesn’t include any kind of visualizations, in the new design we are expecting to have visuals (charts, diagrams, etc..), should have a Key Summary and also please analyse the existing report and draw-out meaning & context.
These are essentially just visual reports - no interactions, think of it as a 'print-out ready' document or PDF presentation.
