Challenge Summary

Welcome to the "RUX - Microsoft Office & Templates Site Design Concepts Challenge". In this challenge, we are looking to redesign and improve the existing Office Templates & Themes Library with the goal of improving the user experience of discovering, finding and downloading Templates and Themes!

Let us know if you have any questions!

What is the RUX Challenge?
The RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenge uses the same format as our famous LUX Challenge except it is not "Live" at an event. The RUX Challenge Series provides you with an opportunity to show digital leaders from some of the largest companies in the world just how good your concept and user experience (UI/UX) design skills are.

RUX (Rapid User Experience) challenges are fast, fun, and have more chances for you to capture prize money!

Note: You do not need to have RUX challenge experience to join this challenge - Just jump in and give it a try! Make sure to follow the challenge details, the challenge forum and ask questions.
We are looking for a redesign on 4 web pages - Landing, Featured Category, Favorites by App, and Details/Download pages.  Design concepts and explore different ideas for each of these page’s designs.  We are designing for both Desktop and Mobile.

Landing Page (Desktop and Phone)
https://templates.office.com
- This is the main page with featured items.
- Featured categories
- Events and occasions
- Favorites by app
- Maybe we can add more categories, like “Most downloaded”
- Maybe create a more exposed search/filter bar on the page to allow users to quickly search/refine the content displayed in the categories below

Featured Category (Desktop and Phone)
https://templates.office.com/en-US/Calendars
- A simple list of templates by category
- Looking to make this more attractive, like a banner on top showing some featured templates.

Favorites By App  (Desktop and Phone)
https://templates.office.com/en-US/templates-for-Word
- This page is similar to the Featured category page but shows some favorite templates by app.
- The same instructions from the Featured Category page apply, it needs to be more attractive.

Details / Download  (Desktop and Phone)
https://templates.office.com/en-US/2019-calendar-Mon-Sun-TM16401332
- Description of the template with details about its content and utilization.
- Download button
- Share icons (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Email)
- Related templates

Additional Features
- As a designer any additional thoughts or features you would like to showcase?

Screen Sizes
We not restricted in screen sizes, but below is a good ref.:
- Desktop 1440px
- Mobile 375px

Presentation Screen - 1920x1080 (16:9 Ratio)
- In a RUX challenge, this screen is the way to showcase your concept so keep it simple and make it look good!
- If you were walking into a meeting and needed to sell your idea - use this screen to showcase your concept.
