Challenge Summary

The goal of this competition is to create a name and logo for Clorox’s new employee-centric intranet, which will be a dynamic hub of information, collaboration, tools and resources for its 8,700 global employees. Clorox is a global company that makes and markets consumer and professional products, including cleaning and laundry products, natural personal care items, health and wellness products, and other consumable household items.
Please keep in mind that we are not re-designing a new logo for the company. In this challenge, we are looking for a fun and intuitive new way to brand the employee-centric intranet.

Read the challenge specification carefully and watch the challenge forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. Feel free to ask any questions in the challenge forum.

Round 1

  1. New name and Logo

Round 2

  1. New name and Logo
  2. Brand Library PDF

This will be the first of a series of challenges focused on transforming Clorox’s current intranet. On this challenge you will be working on two key areas:
  1. Propose a new name (other than the current “CloroxWeb” name) for Clorox’s soon-to-be transformed intranet hub, which is used by Clorox employees.
  2. Create a new logo that represents this name. For this, you will need to create a brand document with the following items:
  • What this logo means
  • How to use the logo
  • How not to use the logo
  • Color palette
  • Font Family that works with this logo

Logo Requirements
- We are looking for something unique and easy to recognize
- The logo should help convey the dynamic functionality of the transformed, employee-centric intranet hub.
- Note: Clorox is focused on “Lifestyle” and “Health and Wellness” space
- Color should match primary and secondary color guidelines in the attachments.
- Fonts are open to the designer, no need to match them with the current logo.
- The logo will be used across different devices and screen sizes, such as: Desktop Computers, Mobile Phones and Tablets. So the Logo should be easy to see and read on any device.
- The user should grasp the message of the logo design within three seconds of the first glimpse.
- Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.
- You need to make sure your logo looks good on both light and dark backgrounds, in both the color and black & white version.
