Challenge Objectives
  • Web app design.
  • Understand the problem and come up with a great solution.
  • Desktop screens of 1366px width.

Project Background
  • Novus is a mobile service provider who would like to help their potential customers to be able to find out  the pricing and the benefits of leaving their current provider and signing a contract with them.
  • At the moment eligibility evaluation is a long process as to analyse every aspect of switching to our client’s services includes many factors, like current package, contract charges or even payout for device financing.
  • Currently a third party vendor is performing manual data keying which is error prone, expensive and is resulting in a poor customer experience, moreover, it is not scalable, so capturing additional parameters is difficult.
  • The proposed switching tool would capture the contents of the bill uploaded by the customer from their previous carrier with OCR and recommend the corresponding pricing for the same configuration and highlight the benefits of switching to our client’s services. In addition, the tool would also determine the current contracts and financed devices with previous carrier and calculate the Device Financed amount and Contract Termination Fees for issuing a Payout.
  • This Tool would be easily scalable to capture additional information from previous bill for further analysis and helps to perform real time eligibility validation and determine payout amount instantly.

Screen Requirements
For this challenge you are required to create the following screens/functionalities.

1. Login
Please provide a login screen for this web application. Login screen will use UserID and Password. Provide error validation to this screen.

2. Landing Screen
Next screen will be the landing page to inform customers that they can upload the bill and see what will be the pricing on Novus and the benefits they will receive at Novus. It would be good to capture customer’s email on this landing page screen. Please use some  CTA for Upload.

3. Terms and Conditions
Before uploading it is important to have a T&C screen which calls out that the customer agrees to share their information from their previous carrier to get the corresponding service pricing and benefits. The app should not allow the visitor to proceed with the flow unless he agrees to the T&C.

4. Upload
If the visitor accepted the T&C he can upload his bill. Please provide the appropriate screen for that action.

5. Service Offer
The user will get his offer within 3-5 secs, so please provide a pre-loder state. If everything was OK, then the user will get his offer about our client’s service for the same set up they already have with the current provider. If the service cost from the competitor is less than or equal to our client’s recommended service cost, apply a 20% discount on total service charges amount and display this discounted price.

Carrier Benefits to be used on the recommendation screen:
  • Unlimited talk, text and data
  • Standard Netflix included
  • Taxes & fees included
  • Texting and data abroad
  • Free stuff every week
  • Free texting from Gogo when you fly
  • Talk, text and data in Mexico & Canada
  • Mobile hotspot data included

6. Payout Screens
This screen will display the Device Payoff amount and/or  Early Termination Fees payout amount. The Device and Contract Fees Payoff amount is calculated by searching for the charges billed against the description listed below.
1. Device on Loan/EIP (Equipment Installment Plan):
  • Balance Remaining after Current installment
  • $$ Remaining after this month
2. Device on Lease
  • Lease Payoff amount = (Lease Charge * Payments Remaining) + Purchase Option Price
3. Early Termination Fees/Contract Fees:
  • $$ amount against Early Termination Fees/Contract Fees.

In addition to the above we need email to the Prospect that will include the recommended service pricing cost and eligible Device Payoff/Early Termination Fees Payoff amount. This email will also have a link to store locator. So please design an email body screen how this information looks in email.

7. Error Screens
If the bill format uploaded is not recognized by the OCR system, then the app should display the following message: “We are experiencing issues. Please try again later”
